Sydney is not only blessed by a beautiful coastline providing us with countless beaches, but also some of these beaches have a “rock pool” at the headland. These rock pools provide a great place for the locals to take a dip in the ocean without the waves. I love fog I love the moon…what a fantastic dream to have them together… / One of my first double layers with Picasa,an experience I’ve tried,the moon is much to big but I liked the spooky mood…... :))....2 photos,a moon and a foggy night.The tittle came to me thinking about «Moonstruck» the movie with Sher when the old italian couple were looking outside the window by full moon .They were so much in love and it was so touching… / /

/ . / I had some requests of a portrait shot of my photo entitled “Luna over Luna Park”. Luckily, I had taken the shot. I’m not great at giving photos titles, hence the title for this one. This was taken on the same night of my other photos “Luna Over Luna Park”, “Luna Harbour” and “Luna PANORAMA”. The photos were taken in quite quick succession. I attempted to combine the full moon, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge. You might be interested in viewing the other photos because this is in Portrait, two are in Landscape, and one PANORAMA. It’s amazing how a similar subject can be photographed in slightly different ways, and produce different results. I will interested in knowing which of the four is you favourite !

A Baying Wolf, is a sad and haunting sound you dont hear anymore, to me it seems as though they knew long ago it would come to this pass, hence their howling started. A rare sound indeed. / Wolves are an endangered species and have been hunted for centuries and nearly extinct, hopefull through careful conservation these beautiful beasts will be around forever and everyone can hear their special song. On the rise her head lifts / The breeze takes the howl adrift / As she cries, for the life of her pack. / The mournful sound of loss and grief / Is carried upon rustling leaves. / For what is done, is done / And there’s no going back. For a moment, in the Golden haze / She sees me from where I stand / And from the depths of my heart I feel her pain. / With pride she holds my gaze. / Her Forgotten song goes unheard to some. / But I hear her all the same. I close my eyes. / Her words are soft and wise. / One single tear adorns my cheek, / As she finds the words she wants to speak, / She tells me the story of the Forgotten Song. With that, she appears before me / No longer is she upon the hill I see. / I reach down to touch her, / She is not real / But I feel the warmth and life in her fur. She allowed me this moment of insight / Before she fled back to the night. / And suddenly, / Under my fingers was no longer the softness of her fur / But just the gentle spirit of her / And of the Forgotten Song. / For what is done, is done. Thanks for your help George Lenz / Layers and blends used in PhotoShop… / By using Photoshop, I used 4 different layers here to configure this piece. Watercolor and pencil on illustration board, / 10×8 / 2009 Model: Adhara Batul One of the Greek myths I adore the most, for its incredible strength, poetry and significance, is the myth of Persephone. In Greek mythology, Persephone was the goddess of the underworld and of the Spring growth. Daughter of Demeter, goddess of the harvest, she was abducted by Hades and taken to the land of the dead. By a determination of the Fates, she was forced to stay for two seasons each year after eating pomegranates seeds, thus becoming consort of Hades and queen of the underworld. This time I opted by depicting her sorrow and solitude after having the seeds, although there’s quite an air of resignation with her destiny.

This was inspired by the beautiful poem ‘By The Sea’ written by my wonderful friend Restlessd It immediately conjured up the music of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata Jen and Erics Eyes / MCN :: CBG75-QXBCY-WMQNY By The Sea The moon reflects its luminance / As I stand above the flowing waves. / The tide moves evenly in and out / White foam crashes into the caves. Sea oats whisper in the wind / A gull breaks the night with its cries. / I stand alone taking all this in / And a smile comes into my eyes. Darkness, darkness all around, / The sand so cool to my feet. / The music of the ocean near, / Yet, silence set in so deep. A motionless sky beacons to me / While streaming white stars say no. / So I will stay where I be, I’ll not disturb thee / For I really don’t want to go. Melting clouds drift all about / Just like ghosts beyond the sky. / Now and then there comes a call / As a sea bird soars on by. Away beyond the shoreline tide / A few lone ships fade and hide. / There they await the dawn / Knowing then their work is done. Ebbing, peaceful rhythms ever so near; / Quiet solitude engulfs me, / I am calm and I am happy here, / Walking in the night by the sea. _____ Several backgrounds were blended together in Photoshop CS4, and textures added. The beautiful girl was blended over several layers, some of them being blurred to give movement to her dress. The clouds and moonbeams were painted.
