Sales of this TShirt ? – 2 sales so far :) / From the ‘Beach’ and ‘Inspired’ Series of art by Karin Taylor ‘Iliki’ Spirit of Aloha II is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper using ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal. My darling ‘Illiki’ was inspired by James Michener’s novel ‘Hawaii’ and the beautiful young hawaiian girl who is one of the charming characters early on in the story. I was completely swept away during the reading of this incredible novel, highly recommended reading :D The original imaged has been digitally enhanced to create a grungier look for a funky fashionista tshirt dude/dudess :D

‘Asian Series’ TShirt by Karin Taylor Catch of the Day is a sweet little painting done in mixed media…using ink, acrylic, charcoal and pastels. I had so much fun creating this little character, and dressing her in a fur coat and beanie. She is being drawn along by her dolphin friend and a butterfly has thought to come visit too. Catch of the Day was inspired by a children’s book I used to read to my children when they were little, my brother gave it them. It’s a great story called ‘The Hottest Boy Who Ever Lived’ the illustrations by Kim Gamble I think are awesome. Catch of the Day is also available as a card

The design for this tshirt comes from an original painting titled ‘Polly’s Pearls’. The painting was created using mixed media, ink, pastels, charcoal, acrylics on thick aquarelle acrylic watercolour paper. Polly’s Pearls is a little story in itself. Polly is Pirate Girl who sails the seven seas in search of the most lustrous pearl of all time, legend has it the golden pearl is somewhere out there for the taking. Perhaps the moon’s reflection is a clue. Along the way, Polly and her trusty parrot Pete collect stars and pearls to trade
