I’m a bit paranoid about doing any kind of iconic based images at the moment, due to finding other people may have done similar stuff. The last one being the grenade with a brain that i did…someone pointed out it already existed. And when i searched it up further on google…there were several(4? that i found easily) of them from stencils to one even closer to the one i designed…pin and stuff on the same side…it was done as a belt buckle so…anyway, away it went! But here goes…i did try and run it by those who might know but…not online at the moment. I did google a whole bunch of things to check if anything similar was about…but came up with nothing so i’m putting it up. Wish me luck. / . / ps- i did find a sculpture of a gun with a knot in it, flowers in the barrel…but no handshakes. / . / . /

Personally i always find it a better skill to be able to find ‘peace of mind’ rather than give someone a ‘piece of my mind’. But then again people love a bit of drama! haha…and you could read this as portioning out pieces! ps-Sorry if you saw this last night…i wasn’t happy so i deleted it and started from scratch again. Now i must have also repented and officially completed my goodness challenge! Back to business…stay tuned!

Memoirs of a Japanese War Bride Art print From 1944 to the early 50’s thousands of Japanese women fell in love with servicemen, married and started new lives in alien countries. / It must have been an incredible struggle to leave their extended families, friends, country and merge into new cultures. This is my tribute to Muntazer al-Zaidi. The legendary journalist who threw his shoe at George W Bush during his farewell visit to Iraq. Clearly it is based on Banksy’s “Flower Chucker” stencil which is based on a photo from the 1968 riots in Paris. I’ve tried to keep it faithful to both Banksy and Muntazer by illustrating his head as close as possible to the original press conference image, in the style of “Flower Thrower”. I also illustrated the shoe to fit his hand just nicely and added a bit of definition to the fingers. Love to know what you think. Good riddance George Dubbaya. Muntazer al-Zaid may be the thrower, but you certainly are the tosser. / / / / / / /
