Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Blue Triangle Butterfly – A Closer View This little fellow was really enjoying his dips in the water at Twin Falls, Cape York Peninsula, Far North Queensland. Blue Triangle Butterfly (Graphium sarpedon choredon) Its wings are black to dark brown in colour with a large blue area in the middle. Those blue patterns join to make a triangle, hence the name “The Blue Triangle”. The underside patterns of their wings are similar, except for the red spots on the hind wings. 100% of proceeds received from Redbubble in respect to sales of “Blue Triangle Butterfly – A Closer View” will be donated to “thegreataustraliancancerbushwalk” for the Cancer Council. One late afternoon while sitting and relaxing on the balcony of our room at the hotel, after a long and straining roasting day :)) at the Las Galeras beach:)), I was listening and admiring the wonderful music provided by the multiple birds in the surrounding gardens…I heard a ruffle of coconut leafs just beside the ramp of my balcony, turned my head and just before my eyes, spotted a rare sight …a green heron was just standing on a branch leaning and looking down at the ground under , luck was on my side as I had my camera close by on the little patio table , just in time to put it on the ramp of the balcony and aimed at the bird before he flew down on the grass probably to look at what seemed to be the egg that had just fallen out of his nest.
