An Olive branch of peace can become a weapon to beat someone with in the wrong hands or situation. Peacekeepers carrying guns is somewhat hypocritical in my books. At least call a spade a spade. detail: /

Took this on Stockton Bight, a long series of sand dunes that stretch from Anna Bay to Newcastle. These traps were placed to protect Williamtown air base (I believe) during World War II. 26km or so of these, 2m high concrete reinforced pyramids, and now all you can find is this small group, situated in a sand blow. Even they come and go depending on the wind. We took a tour from Anna bay, to see the tank traps, tin city and the wreck of the Sygma(?) / / Scuba Diva is my latest creation for the “Children of the World” Series / She is a mixed media production created on brown paper over white gesso / using chalk pastels, acyrlic paint and charcoal. Scuba Diva was influenced and inspired by two friends of mine here on Red Bubble, both of their names have the initials MT Muscular Teeth who a great friend of mine challenged me to create this one… and MattTworkowski inspired me with his beautiful photographs from under the sea….

So called peace keepers that carry guns to ensure the peace. Politicians couldnt make soldiers of war sound better if they had a team of ad executives working for them..oops! They do! Now i wonder why peace keepers are only in countries where there is a vested interest. detail:
