Toledo Cathedral in Toledo, Spain, is ranked among the greatest Gothic structures in Europe. Inside, the cathedral contains important masterpieces including a spectacular baroque high altar and two paintings by El Greco. Toledo Cathedral stands on the site of the Great Mosque of Toledo, which itself had replaced a Visigothic church. Built from 1226 to 1493, the long process is reflected in Toledo Cathedral’s variety of styles. This was taken inside one part of this beautiful Cathedral, on film, and the print was scanned to digital. The camera used was an automatic Pentax 35mm film camera and that is all the information that I have.

Plaza de toros de Ronda a.k.a. the Bullring of Ronda. Ronda is one of the most beautiful little towns I’ve ever seen. In the south of Spain, it is built on a gorge, the old town on one side, the new town on the other. The Puente Nuevo bridge spans the gorge and stands 120m above the canyon floor. (A very impressive sight, I can tell you!) The bullring was built in 1785 and is one of the oldest operational bullfighting venues in Spain. In fact, I believe it may be one of the last bullrings still hosting fights (although very rarely). This image was featured in European Everyday Life September 25, 2008.

Here’s Mundaka, Spain. A spot on “The Dream Tour Series” noted for its European backdrop and waves that break right to left (see Jeffrey’s Bay) This left breaks over a sand bar formed by a steady flow of a river. This flow was disrupted by dredging and the fabled perfection of Mundaka disappeared. Protests have stopped dredging and Mundaka has reappeared some say better than ever. It may have to do with recovering what was once lost. What ever the outcome, we as humans have a reality to hold these dreams/ treasures as an example to care for our environment- our home.
