This is a dramatic and striking nude, a dark and emotive piece that invites prolonged viewing and conversation. It is bold and contemporary with a lovely sketcherly aspect. The colors are rich, tawny and warm. This piece is Oils on Canvas painted in my signature ochre technique using layered washes and strategic removal of paint to create a wonderful three dimensional look and a strong emotional feel. Skin tones are produced using this technique with colors and glazes to enhance the emotive qualities and sketcherly aspect of the figures. The canvas is used as an element in this painting lending it’s texture to the overall work. The colors are warm, earthy and sensual with a wonderful tonal quality.

I can’t think of any good titles right now, haha… but this is a shot from a month ago of a tree in my front yard. The leaves were so intense and gorgeous. Enjoy!

Condensation inside of a water bottle…. I have too much fun with those things, haha. The background was some metallic wrapping paper that I use a lot. I used my sigma 105 mm macro lens and extension tubes. Enjoy!

I found a plastic turtle sooo… I thought I should do something with it. :D I placed the turtle on a mirror with water on it.. there was some glitter on it from something else so I just left it. The green stuff is Easter basket grass that I horded and now use for the weird stuff…. including this. Enjoy!

Abstract Macro Photography – Landscapes i vision a man just finished hiking/ climbing to the peak of the mountian top. / he’s sitting down, looking out over the landscape at the distance peaks he is yet to conquer / hes eating a wholesome, well deserved large beef and tomato sandwich with a big flask of sweet tea. / the winter weather looks like it closing in, so it will only be a short stop off, a re-fuel, he must make his way back down before it gets too dark. / i miss my hiking days very close up / some very old, decaying, scratched, bumped, trodden on, kicked, knocked, weathered small piece of metal. / along with abit of plastic (by the looks of it) conbined with scratches of peeling paint.
