This was taken at Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, where the mill is in the image is a small village called Godmanchester.. Took quite a while to do this but im pretty happy with how it turned out so was well worth the effort :-)

Surfing just before dawn. The water color comes from the dawn light reflecting off high clouds in the sky. Canon 1Ds Mark II / 600 mm focal length / 1/15 second / f/4 / ISO 50 Panning and trying to keep the surfer in one spot in the frame produces the fluidity and quality to the water.

A beautiful poem written by my wonderful, talented friend Lina…you inspire us all! / / Tree Nature / She kept growing beyond her means / what I mean is, / she kept growing beyond what she desired yesterday, / she thought / if only, / If only I was … better at this…. Problem was she did become better at everything / she desired to become better at! / and still, more / would call her forth like a tree in the forest.. / she fell so many times / yet, none seem to hear her falling / her pain / her fears except maybe her own heart. That felt lonely. Until, / One day she looked deep within / And it was here / She saw and felt / Her tree nature appear / Like a totem / A solemn answer / To the questions she brought / forth She branched out within herself / And the expectations began to subside / What she discovered was / She was best at growing / Some would call it expanding. If she could learn to live in the moments / Between desire, expansion desire.. / She thought perhaps I could find a balance / Of sorts, / Contentment at best / Liberation from her limitless / Limits!! After all, she was like a tree / Happiest when she was in the process / Of Becoming!! / It was only in the thought that she needed to arrive Anywhere That pain seemed to preside / And fear would rear So she planted her feet squarely underneath her and / Allowed her tree nature to shine through. All manner of miracles happened then. / She discovered the art of / Allowing / And her Art, the very core of all that she was and is, / Flourished / Because she knew, She, / Like a tree, Just kept on growing, / Until growing became knowing Knowing, We are never finished and we are never done. Some of you might recognize this image from my VintageXposure account that I had here temporarily. Well for starters HEY everyone!!! I thought I’d leave a little update about what’s going on these days. Out of 5 months, I only have 4 weeks left of chemo. I can’t believe how the time flew…but happy it did. I haven’t been around here in quite a while as the side effects were pretty awful in the beginning…but these days I’m doing much much better and hanging in there really well. My vital signs and blood work have been consistantly well week by week so that’s a good sign. I also finally started working this week…couldn’t wait to go back to work as I have been climbing the walls, lol. Anyway, I’m looking forward to feeling normal again within the next month…but I’ll do my best to pop in and out to see how all of you are doing. Miss all of you tons and much love to you!! xoxo / kel
