“Not-Drawings of the day” is a work with setting in abyme… : On my desk, the printed image of the photograph of the day before, which I photograph, then that then I print, who find his place on my desk then… All that accumulates on this table, where I can’t draw any more !! :))... A history of 18 (weeks) and 124 (days). My printer didn’t like red. All prints are blue or green. I took this at the Japanese Lantern festival at the Como Zoo in St. Paul Minnesota… the gardens were gorgeous and I must return there soon. Before the winter at least, haha.

couldn’t finish the whole piece tonight / hurt too much / all that’s left is to color the second bird, and I’m gonna do that next week to entertain myself while I was getting it, I started taking pictures :P kind if a new thing for me / I don’t have too many self portaits, and I tried a new kind =] / comments/criticism much appreciated and welcomed =]

Somebody must have had a great day at the beach at Southwold as on a lot of the groyne tops there was fantastic sand castles dotted about. It just made me smile to see them perched on the high groynes that are the sea defences. D90 Nikon camera on Aperture Piority / Nikor 18-105 Vr lens F.L 105mm / F/. 5.6 / Esposure 1/4000 sec and -1.3 step / IS0 320 / I was fiddling around with my dials and changing from setting P to A and bracketing so hence the light issue as not really sure what i was doing just trying and playing and experimenting. : ) Slight level change in photoshop then redynamix just to slightly change the texture to bring out the sand.
