  • Retrospective
    by Steven Novak

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Everything on the walls behind the kid is work that I did either in grade school or high school. Yes, I still have EVERYTHING that I did back then. It’s taking over every nook and cranny in my house, much to the chagrin of my loving wife. What can I say, I’m sort of a pack rat. Do I really need the cartoons I scribbled on my math homework when I was eight? No. Am I going to keep it anyway? You better believe it.

  • Old Skool - Banksy
    by Kiwikiwi

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This classic Banksy stencil used to be up on a wall along Clerkenwell Rd, London. Unfortunately, after having been covered up for the last few weeks, it is now gone and to make matters worse, similar ‘Banksy Disappearances’ are happening all over London. Through either being covered up with board or by removing the entire wall or (as the case was with this piece) by being completely whitewashed out. It is a real shame as it is the public who are the ones that miss out.

  • 'Let The Music Rip You'
    by kissthefuture

    US$4.27–US$114.00

I put the phrase on the top and bottom of the picture to show how much some people can get involved in music, letting it take over their lives and actions. like when something bad happens on the news, and they use music or musicians to put the blame on… i guess it was kinda my answer to that. The pose of the woman was based on patricia from the horrorpops – one of my fav bands. if you look on the cover of their album ‘hell yea’ then you can see where the inspiration came from. —-—-—-——- Thank You For Viewing / Original By Emma Black / Do Not Use Without Permission

  • School of Amsterdam
    by theBFG

    US$3.13–US$83.60

This appartment block in amsterdam is a good example of the style known as the “Amsterdamse School” (lit. School of Amsterdam). it is a style that is related to art deco and expresionalism. The style was applied to all manner of buildings, including homes and apartment blocks, and was partly a reaction to what was considered bourgeois and religiously inspired neo-gothic and other revival styles. It is a style that is imbued with socialist ideals; cheap housing for the educated labourer and with utilities focussed on furthering the education en personal development of the inhabitants (in a time when normal schools were generally not very good and illiteracy among adults was widespread). In a building complex built in this style you would often find a reading room, a library or a meeting hall at its centre point. Institutions that prevented the social and intellectual development of the inhabitants such as cafes and especially churches, were kept far away from these communities.
