this image started life as a pencil sketch and evolved from there. The Double-mouthed sailtail generously tows his companion, Blockhead, across the Atlip desert. Blockhead shields Gorff from the watchful eye of the ever hungry Zylap. Their trusty, but aging pumpkin droid, brings up the rear.

This is not altered with software in any way.The seagulls were lining up in order to catch a piece of bread. You can actually see the piece on the right side of the picture! / It was difficult to get them in frame like I imagined but after many pieces of bread they were in perfect position. check what the product looks like here thank you for stopping by!

I have always had a fascination with ships and the ocean. Detail and craftsmanship of these old wooden vessels is sensational. As I sit on the stern of my ship, I think of yester morn when all was good. / We’d traveled a long voyage. / My men grew as mates. / Bounds of treasures we’d found made for a drunkered night. / But of night last, a squall came upon us and two overboard. / As fast as the wind arose, and water rushed over was my men gone. / My ship tossed from port to starboard we hadnt time to turn her a bow. / Till late we search, not a thread to be found. / Not a sail touched, nor a rope broke it was like a dream gone arye. / So i drop these two coins in memberance into the sea, to ye brave men who gave their lives, / and promise to add a share to their families as deserved. / Now its time to set sail homeward….. / Steady as she goes…..through the Calm Sea At Dawn. The award-winning Solitude was shot on medium format, black & white film, just before dawn on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. The high-key effect was created and enhanced in-camera by filtering, with virtually no post-processing.

/ Sailor Girl is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper, I used ink, pastel, and some acrylic…..inks are mainly black, acrylics are mainly white, you can see the canvas texture showing through the pastel, which gives it a nice textured appeal I am really into sailing boats, hope you like this one :D Here’s another one available in a print at last!

There are dolphins there, with whom i connected daily and a lot of sealife, including birds, seastars, rays, fish…. the original drawing is gifted to Jack, a fellow artist i met on Tangalooma and now friend, who really appreciated this drawing so much, that I felt greatly encouraged….

Built 1930-31, Royal Shipyard (formerly), Castellamare di Stabia. and carried out many voyages before World War II. The period of the war was the only time the ship has not been active. The elegant, three-mated full rigger serves as the training vessel of the Italian Naval Academy.The entire rig and all the sheets are traditional materials: Canvas sails and hemp ropes. The only synthetic on board is the mooring lines, which have to be an approved type for some of the ports they visit. The sheets, laid end to end, span 35 km. Nothing can stop me now.”’ Trent Reznor This image is a tribute to an old friend, Hilton Matthews, who so sadly died earlier this year. It is a gift for his wife, and my closest friend, Sarah. Hilton was a well known sailor on the Isle of Wight, and was one of the true characters of the Fishbourne Sailing Club. He weathered many storms during his life. He would have loved this one! The boat in the image is one which Hilton helped rescue when it ran aground on the rocks. The sky and the seas have been painted, using a variety of brushes in Photoshop CS4.
