Well this is a bit of an experiment with custom brushes and perspective, using Photoshop to just create whatever I wanted over the course of about a week. / Enjoy! =) Title inspired by ‘Keep Your Heart Broken’ by The Rasmus. “My love will grow black if your heart gets stolen / Just promise to keep your heart / One day I’ll come back if the door’s still open / Just promise to keep your heart broken / Forever and after my love / Just promise to keep your heart broken” Time Consumed: About ten hours, maybe a little less. / Tools: Photoshop and Wacom. não há banda….. não há orquesta…..... silêncio! ’’music at funeral..must be the dying one’s music of life.. because there is always a melody attends us for a lifetime.. some runs circles, some goes faster, some are lyrical and some sad.. but the worst one stops suddenly.. which you cant understand if it ended or not.. thats the suicide.. mine was a little different than this.. cause love was a suicide from the beginning.. for that reason play a sad song at my funeral.. which is rainy.. which has rose smell.. which has no color, no taste inside.. and which ends suddenly.. this is the last time I commit suicide..’‘ stocks from / http://gilraen-stock.deviantart.com/ / http://venommistress.deviantart.com/ This work sold as card, mounted print and mostly framed print /

You can always tell a man by his hands…they can be rough, tough and dirty…but if they are gentle enough to grace a rose, than you know you found a winner! Pentax K10D A beautiful poem written by Dalton Sayre / Clasped in hands so strong / Petals bright and sweet / In contrast to the mines / So dark and full of heat This blessing Gaia gives / To those who take time out / To stop and smell the roses / And love instead of shout So hear the plea I offer up / To cloud and sky above / As I kneel on Mother Earth / As gentle as a dove I thank you for your bounty / And all that you provide / For roses blooming up above / And the ore you keep inside I know how much you care for us / Although you bear our scars / For unto us doth spill the light / Of sun and moon and stars
Wallflower / Available as a framed print, canvas print, mounted print and card Wallflower is a continuation of my experiment trying to achieve stained watercolour effect. / I owe some inspiration to Mucha’s flowery illustration style. / Wallflower is much richer as Mucha used soft colours, but with my love for rich colours and as the Wallflower’s feelings are intense, I had to go with the strong;) Image copyright © 2008 Shanina Conway. / Copying and displaying or redistribution of this image without permission from the artist is strictly prohibited.
To console those who mourn in Zion, / To give them beauty for ashes, / The oil of joy for mourning, / The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; / That they may be called trees of righteousness, / The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified. ~Isaiah 61:3 Stock Credits: / Sky, Woman, and Texture by http://night-fate-stock.deviantart.com/ / Rose by http://larafairie-stock.deviantart.com/
Mixed Media Work – Pink Blossom digitally mixed with paint
Watercolor and pencil on illustration board, / 10×8 / 2009 Model: Adhara Batul One of the Greek myths I adore the most, for its incredible strength, poetry and significance, is the myth of Persephone. In Greek mythology, Persephone was the goddess of the underworld and of the Spring growth. Daughter of Demeter, goddess of the harvest, she was abducted by Hades and taken to the land of the dead. By a determination of the Fates, she was forced to stay for two seasons each year after eating pomegranates seeds, thus becoming consort of Hades and queen of the underworld. This time I opted by depicting her sorrow and solitude after having the seeds, although there’s quite an air of resignation with her destiny.
