Allah (Arabic: الله, Allāh, IPA: [ʔalˤːɑːh]) is the standard Arabic word for “God”. While the term is best known in the West for its use by Muslims as a reference to God, it is used by Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, in reference to “God”. The term was also used by pagan Meccans as a reference to the creator-god, possibly the supreme deity in pre-Islamic Arabia. The concepts associated with the term Allah (as a deity) differ among the traditions. In pre-Islamic Arabia, Allah was not the sole divinity, having associates and companions, sons and daughters. In Islam, Allah is the supreme and all-comprehensive divine name. All other divine names are believed to refer back to Allah. Allah is unique, the only God, transcendent creator of the universe and omnipotent. Arab Christians today, having no other word for ‘God’ than ‘Allah’, use terms such as Allāh al-ab (الله الآب) to mean God the father. There are both similarities and differences between the concept of God as portrayed in the Qur’an and the Hebrew Bible.

At the Cans Festival, organised by Banksy and POW over the May Bank Holiday weekend in London. A reference to the current situation with China and Tibet?
The Angel of the North probably one of the most photographed works of public art in the north of England if not the country as a whole. I felt it required a fresh view and as Easter was fast approaching and the word Angel being Hebrew for messenger I thought an artistic take would be to re-create the crucifixion scene for a modern day audience. This is three images combined to make this scene.

Visit my Africa Mission Charity Website: http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Ungwa/Fadda Village is very remote and many children here are disabled by Rickets. rickets is a disease that causes limbs to bow and leaves the child with chronic pain. Here you see Leah praying to God before she starts her daily task of caring for her younger brother and sister, John and Sarah. / Her father died shortly after our last visit in December 2007. Mother is sick. James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. In the midst of so much suffering, Jesus is always there to comfort, heal and strengthen. Like me, Leah draws strength and peace from her heavenly Father as She talks to him in Jesus name. There is no greater Love, or deeper heart of compassion than Gods heart toward all people, regardless of their Race, Color or background. To me He is my reason for living and my inspiration to help those in need. This is why I and the small team of unpaid volunteers work around the clock to help children like Leah and her family. May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. Acrylic on masonite. /

Please read this. [Taken in natural light] I am an Irish born missionary adn Photographer. I also am founder of Philadelphia Mission a British registered charity. My Passion and inspiration comes from a heart touched deeply by Gods Love. Sara is one of 16 children with rickets in this small village. Ungwa/Fada village is certainly one of the poorest I have seen in Kebbe state. Chronic malnutrition, River blindness, Diarrhoea, Intestinal worm infection and the inability to grow enough food have made a big impact on their health. Rickets is a disease caused by Lack of Vitamin [D],. Many children are malnourished and their body does not absorb Vitamins D. C . B. A. We have however through donations made via RB members purchased a water Pump, and now they can irrigate their fields. But they still need fertilizers, tools and good quality seed to grow better food. A Bore well is urgently needed to stop many of the diseases and sicknesses they experience. ALL MONEY RAISED FROM SALE OF MY ART, DONATED ART AND DONATIONS MADE VIA OUR CHARITY WEBSITE, GOES TO HELP THESE PRECIOUS CHILDREN. WE TAKE NOTHING OUT OF WHAT YOU GIVE TOWARDS CHARITY OVERHEADS. WE ARE NOT SALARIED AND COVER OUR OWN TRAVEL EXPENSES. SO ALL THAT YOU GIVE GOES TO THESE CHILDREN To make a donation, or find out more, Please visit our Charity Mission website: http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Camera: Canon EOS400D.
