The provincetown beach areas have these fences, mostly along the roads, which prevent the sand from migrating on to the road. I love these areas for the everchanging landscape and, well, there’s just something about sand on your feet… Black and white work is somewhat of a departure for me but after living with this one for a while I began to like it a lot. Something about the contrasting geometric shapes of the fence and the rolling dunes brought into stark contrast which otherwise, might go unnoticed in a color rendition.

Kill nothing but Time, Carry nothing but Memories, Leave nothing but Footprints Karpewadi – AgroEco tourism hub practices sustainable management and encourages you to do so too. Karpe Wadi is an agrotel where proximity to Nature is the central theme. Karpe Wadi was our halt in the afternoon for lunch on the day trip with Ornithology team. While waiting for the lunch to be served, I had enough time to shoot. I spotted this in the premises of the Karpe Wadi. Equipment : Canon EOS 400D
The main post office of the Dutch city of Utrecht was built in 1924 and is a prime example of the “School of Amsterdam” architectural style. One of the few masterpieces of this style outside of Amsterdam. it is a style that is related to art deco and expresionalism. the style was applied to all manner of buildings, including homes and apartment blocks, and was partly a reaction to what was considered bourgeois and religiously inspired neo-gothic and other revival styles, as well as to the extremely sober architecture of Hendrik Petrus berlage. it is a style that is imbued with socialist ideals; cheap housing for the educated labourer and with utilities focussed on teaching the inhabitants. in a building complex built in this style you would often find a reading room, a library or a meeting hall at its centre point. institutions that prevented the social and intellectual development of the inhabitants such as cafes and especially churches were kept far away from these communities. The hall also features six giant statues in bluestone, one symbolizing each continent and one symbolizing trade and prosperity. A seventh statue guards the main entrance. You can see a picture of that here
Something about this just caught my eye.
A celebration of life.
Fiesta an explosion of hapiness and joy.
Taken with a Canon EOS 450D. These roses were growing wild in my garden, and just seemed the perfect subject for my first still life HDR. 3 different exposures, all 2 stops apart were shot in RAW, and then processed in Photomatix. Extra layers were added and tweaked in GIMP.
A post-it note piece, lovingly concieved mid-phone call. Resized and augmented, it’s now a full scaled piece of proper-ness. Ink and office hi-lighter on post-it note.
