Hafer Park, Edmond, Oklahoma, USA. / This squirrel was having a great time running along this fence stopping here and there to eat some nuts and keeping a close eye on me. / We don’t have squirrels here in New Zealand so any time I see them I spend an excessive amount of time watching them! / /

2007, Oil on Canvas, 48” x 24” This had to be painted before the whole AOL voice thing disappeared from our culture altogether. It represents my little corner of memories of the time before blogs, before twittering and before Skype. The best sound of the day was AOL’s, “You’ve got mail!”… on my Mac. It has been replaced by an anonymous and rather bland ploing of some sort. Ah, sweet nostalgia.
