As long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the consept of the Samurai warrior. / Manga has also had some influence on this picture, even though I was hardly ever exposed to it through my childhood. / But the last ten years, as I have been working only with graphics, and with perfecting my drawing skills. / And it is through this work that I have been exposed to Manga a lot, and I think it has influenced me quit a bit, and it shines through especially in my character design. / If you like this picture, you might enjoy this one as well Ore maybe this one… Enjoy and have a good time :-)

Pop Art is a visual art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in Britain and in parallel in the late 1950s in the United States. Pop Art challenged tradition by asserting that an artist’s use of the mass produced visual commodities of popular culture is contiguous with the perspective of Fine Art since Pop removes the material from its context and isolates the object, or combines it with other objects, for contemplation. The concept of Pop Art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.

The Peach Daylily is from my garden and is now part of my photo collection...I took it one rainy day this past summer…I am mad about Daylilies and have many varieties which I show on a website I set up specifically to showcase my garden….see painted Daylilies from my RB pages below… The Daylily is a plant of the genus Hemerocallis, in the lily family, consisting of about 15 species of perennial herbaceous plants distributed from central Europe to eastern Asia. They range in colour from yellow to red and are each short-lived (hence “day” lily). Daylilies have fleshy roots and narrow, sword-shaped leaves that are grouped at the base of the plant. BEST VIEWED LARGE!!!! This piece of fantastic Abstract Art appeared on a 50 foot X 20 foot wall near Leeds City train station. I dont think the building is getting used at present. The wall is normally White with quite a few chips and scratches and the odd bit of childish graffitti written. So when i was strolling by one day, this vibrant pinky-purple beauty lept out from the wall and said ‘look at me, im freshly done, and look fantastic!!’ so what else could i do except get my camera out and take lots of photographs. I think is a real stunning piece of abstract art, and you cant miss it, as this was a white wall and now the colour jumps out in front of you and demands you look… / i have took a section of the art and put it with the contrasting white wall and lamp postt i dont know anything about this art. i dont know who, what , how or when it was created
