  • As I drove around Chadd’s Ford, I happened to stop by the Historical Society. I met an older gentleman who shared a book of John McCoy’s artwork with me. He had heard of my Father. My Father, Henry W. Peacock, was an Artist who bucked realism during his college years at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. As I looked at this book, I saw a similar style, much like my Dad’s earlier paintings, both surrealistic and abstract. Memories came flooding in. My Father knew Andrew Wyeth and as it turned out, my Mom told me tonight that he knew John McCoy too! No surprises there. This old mill was my Dad’s art studio when I was about 8 years old. It was filled with bats and bat dung was everywhere! We constantly had to sweep it up, but I thought it was pretty cool with old beams running everywhere, surrounded by stone walls. Beneath the old mill, was a concrete swimming pool fed with spring water. How I loved to swim there! The water was ice cold, but that didn’t matter to me. There were some great little Tadpoles too. One of my greatest memories was swimming underwater for quite some time. When I got out of the pool, I stood up and burped. The burp just kept on going and going and going. I remember looking at myself in total disbelief and thinking, “What the heck?” I swear that burp must have lasted a whole minute, but of course I didn’t time it. I giggled myself silly after that! I’m pretty sure that this picture is older than when my Dad painted there. I pray that the mill is still there and that I can get back to see it, while I am here in Pennsylvania. This photograph was taken at the Madeira Farm property in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. Nostalgia keeps on popping up wherever I go!

  • The rock pool at Austinmer Beach south of Sydney.

  • Just outside of Denver Colorado, my lovely wife and I travelled to an altitude of 14,286 feet on top of Mount Evans. Just below the top on the winding road down was this beautiful scene. The darker areas are where overhead clouds have cast as shadow on the mountain. Timing was perfect to see the full moon and good positioning during daylight. Hope you enjoy the landscape. No matter how much I try, its still not the same as being there. Thanks for looking.
