I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. To achieve the soft focus on this photo I add a guassian blur to one of the channels (can’t remember which one), changed to sepia and then added a ‘soft light’ blending layer also a little dodging and burning… v. simple! A couple more from my sisters wedding: The Groom Family fussing…

This portrait of the lovely Halley Mallison was shot during the Witching Hour in an abandoned bandshell in downtown Decatur Georgia… / I used a texture layer of ivy to enhance the ethereal and otherworldly qualities of the photo and to give it a more painting-like feel
