Another use for the transform tools in Photoshop – this time, no photographs used. I just drew a random shape with the pen tool. filled it with a blue, purple, grey gradient – and then tranformed like mad to get the shape of the head and wings. The eyes I put in with a circular marquee and the body and feet I drew in, again with the pen tool. / / Not as nasty looking as the fish, more of a wise old man look. / / Hope you like it.
“Reach Her With Your Heart” is an image of a red heart with an arm reaching out from within in search of true love. / / The image was inspired by a song I had written in the early 1990’s called Reach Her With Your Heart. / / This image has been featured on the homepage of the Abstract Digital Art and Writing group on redbubble.com. / / “Reach Her With Your Heart” is available in all print formats offered by redbubble.com. / / / Buying Reach Her With Your Heart as a gift? Why not add a matching card? / / / / The heart in this image was created using the shape tool in Photoshop with a red fill the shape was then rasterized. Various texturing filters were used as well as the some use of the burn and dodge tools. The arm was from a separate photo and had similar processing. The background was created by rendering clouds and applying various distortion filters like twirl, as well as motion blurs. / / Subscribe to art updates / Subscribe to T-shirt updates / Become a fan on FaceBook / Add me as a friend on FaceBook / Follow me on Twitter

i thought i’d try some layering in photoshop. i’ve never done this before, and i did not take the picture of the model, or the checkered floor with textured wall.. all the images are off of deviant art. this kind of art i tried was inspired by myoriginalsin [check out her work its incredible!] i’m not nearly as good as her but i wanted to see if i could do it. i hope you guys like this. it took well over an hour to get it right. what i did was / 1. i searched the stock on deviant art for the background, the model, and the hearts. 2. i dragged the photo of the model over to the background picture and erased all the access background from the picture of the model [the forest area she was originally in] 3. i dragged the heart over and turned it to “sketch” so it looked like a pencil drawing. i wanted it to be transparent 4. i merged it all together 5. i played with the contrast and lighting effects. 6. i desaturated it so it wasn’t as vibrant with the models skin tones [it didnt mesh well] 7. i saved it! that is how i did this piece of art.
Photomanipulation created in Photoshop CS2. I hope this encourages you! This baby fawn has been hanging around in my back yard for a couple months now. Finally got a picture of her! She is so beautiful I had to incorporate her into one of my pieces. I hope she finds her family soon because she is always wandering around alone. But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, / My glory and the One who lifts up my head. / -Psalm 3:3
I merged two layers, a photo and a background together in photoshop CS3. /

The original photograph was of a dozen roses. After painstakingly removing all but the single rose in Photoshop, I applied several gradients and filters to achieve this final effect. Like a star with no light remaining, void of all purpose and all alone in this world, she sits. Alone, the wierd and strange of the unfamiliar environment surround her. It envelopes her equally unfamiliar body which now feels the cold, damp air crawl over her, as if under her new skin. She lifts her head to see past it, but fog of evil regret, of passed mistakes, obscure her view. Darkness keeps her comany now, something she has never witnessed before, although, she has heard many people speak of it, of their fears about it. Fear, a barrier that she will have to learn to overcome, or to live with, like the mere mortals she has tried to protect from it – forever til this point. Cast out, she beckons death! Cast down, like torrents from Heaven, all power, removed from her very soul. Fallen! Its a sad day when Angels fall.
