The transcendental art of fire dancing, combined with a backdrop of stark, urban-industrial desolation. / The background represents the state of one’s life (like the inside of their mind) and the subject twirling fire represents the transmuting of this apathy of existence into the realization that there is so much more to life and the Universe than what is going on in their head.

I don’t even want to guess how long I’ve spent on this piece. I’ve always loved doing black line drawing.. This one is hand drawn (with square rulers etc) from the centre to 4 layers out. I then scanned it and did the rest in photoshop (first time I’ve done this kind of work on photoshop and I loved it). I find this kind of highly detailed work very relaxing and almost meditative for me. I enjoy it very much. .
