“When you have come to the edge of all light that you know and are about to drop off into darkness of the unknown. Faith is knowing one of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.” Patrick Overton.

This portrait of the lovely Halley Mallison was shot during the Witching Hour in an abandoned bandshell in downtown Decatur Georgia… / I used a texture layer of ivy to enhance the ethereal and otherworldly qualities of the photo and to give it a more painting-like feel

This image is a reminder to keep your dream and vision of what you desire to create alive. Breath light and life into it everyday. Know that nature and all of the elements support you in creating your dream. Earth is represented by the tree bark which comes from some of the largest Live Oak trees in the United States. Air is representrd by the breath. Fire is represented by the ball of light, which symbolizes your dream, your passion. Water is represented by the subtle ripples of water along the lower portion of the image. Believe in your dream, breath life into it, keep it alive, until you have believed it into being.

‘Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor ‘I saw the angel in the marble and I carved until I set him free.” – Michelangelo Ocean Angel is a mixed media production (ink, charcoal, pastel, acrylics) on canvas textured paper. Ocean Angel is a beautiful mer-angel, a mythical creature from my own imagination….unlike the mermaids who are generally mischievous in folklore, Ocean Angel tends to care :D
