Goodbye. © ryan This wonderful poem was written by the very talented writer and good friend / nicole ryan This series was shot the old fashioned way, the camera an old Pentax K1000 with ILford Black and White film and hand printed using high contrast filters. / This public toilet was utterly disgustingly dirty and had not been cleaned for who knows how long. The available light just made it look beautiful! / No post production on this, it’s a straight scan from the original hand printed print.

As part of a series. This image was shot using a / mamiya 220 camera (6X6 medium format) and iLford black and white roll film. The original is printed on Ilford Multigrade IV Fiber Based Paper and this is a scan from it. No editing.

This shot was taken of the window of the original Black Springs Bakery building in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. It has a very french provincial feel to it, though. This was taken in autumn with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera and a 18-55mm lens. I was off to take some photographs of some waterfalls in the Breacon Beacons in Wales when I almost missed this scene. Had there not been a break in the cloud I may have missed it. It was probably the best drive by shooting photograph I have to date. I’ve had a little play in photoshop and thought I’d post the results. / The original was shot using a Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 27mm, f/8, 1/60 sec, ISO 400. No filters used and mounted on the car door. I then upped the exposure in photoshop with a layered PS approach and added some crows for effect. I hope you like it. © Copyright 2009 David Reid – redtree.me – All rights reserved.
