The Tasmanian Masked Owl, Tyto novaehollandiae castanops, is the largest of the Barn Owl family.

For this project I used adobe illustrator. Our assignment was to create a cultural mask from four reference masks. I used mesh to create the 3-D look as well as a bit of gradient.

i created the mask by using many historical masks from many different culture. i used gradient to create a three D effect. I used shapes to add detail to the mask. I like this artwork due to its creativeness and uniqueness. I like the way i made certain shapes and the way i used the gradient tool.
