Pastels on canvas 40×30 cm I was inspired to do this after traveling through the farming countryside and observing the lack of trees in the paddocks…I felt for the sheep and cows…as it was a really hot day and they had no shade …and what lone trees there was for them had not enough shade for all…so much land….so little life on it… / when I came home I took that unfortunate inspiration and used it
Enjoy!

Hand of a male dancer at a powwow in the Black Hills. The beadwork is amazing!
This old wooden fence was taken in the Adelaide Hills, Oakbank, South Australia, Australia. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera. I recently made a sale on redbubble with this shot. I sold a medium laminated print in white with artist’s details to a dear friend, Natz, in the UK. Many thanks Natz.
The Angel of the North probably one of the most photographed works of public art in the north of England if not the country as a whole. I felt it required a fresh view and as Easter was fast approaching and the word Angel being Hebrew for messenger I thought an artistic take would be to re-create the crucifixion scene for a modern day audience. This is three images combined to make this scene.
This is my second attempt at HDR photography. This was taken at Oakbank, in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, Australia, overlooking Appletree Cottage and the dam there. Late autumn and late afternoon. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera.

Acrylic On Canvas Once,Ophelia had an unforgettable experience on a lush green mountaintop, she felt she was lovingly embraced by the beauty of the moutain there….it felt as if the trees and the clouds whispered into her heart wondrous secrets that few knew. Oh, how she longed for the day to come when she would be back there…to build her nest in the heart of the mountain :D / / / View other products of “Mountain Whispers” in my Zazzle store! /

The Sturt Desert Pea is a beautiful wild flower that grows in outback Australia. The Original painting has sold, but not without a story. I had some people come into my gallery saying that they were wanting a painting of Sturt Desert Peas. They said they couldn’t find one anywhere in Broken Hill. My husband kindly offered for me to paint them one. They said they were leaving town in two days and could I have it finished by then? My husband said ””””not a problem”””” – he is a great beleiver. I was not so convinced, but I said I would try. I worked all evening, all the next day and evening until I was satisfied and pleased with the painting. They were due to pick the painting up the next morning. They never came back. Lesson learned: When it comes to Art people are fickle. Always get a deposit and don’t trust their enthusiasm. Always try and do the right thing by others, but don’t expect others to do the right thing by you. Getting angry at others letting you down isn’t worth the energy. / Whoever buys this print, please remember that rich beauty can come out of trying circumstances. The Sturt Desert Pea is a living example – immense beauty growing in the harshest environment. About This Painting / Moonshine lies between Wellington and the southern end of the Tararua Ranges. In the days when I was getting into the hills most weekends, this was a very favorite place to go for day trips. The name is quite evocative – it makes one think of mystery, intrigue, rural living, and for some reason it also conjures up overtones of moonlight and benevolent magic. From out in these hills one did in fact get some quite magical glimpses of Wellington Harbour, the beauty of which is hard to beat on a good day. I doubt these hills are in tussock now – they have probably been converted to pine plantations, which would be a pity because the bare shapes of the rippling hills and the golden tussock grass were a joy to walk in. This sketch doesn’t show much topography, but for me it encapsulates the unique, mysterious atmosphere of the place. Acrylic on canvas board.
