  • I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.

  • This work is about the future that is inside of you. I was originally inspired to create this piece while I was listening to a speaker talk about how God sees us. That He sees us in our completed form; that there is a future YOU inside you right now. He sees all that you are capable of and placed that inside of you when He created you. / In my work I am conveying a majestic, tall oak tree, exists complete within a tiny acorn somewhere in the future. It’s the knowledge of the future that is the key to unlocking it and releasing it. So be aware of your potential and Hold on to YOUR future. “Something very small and average has the potential to be very great.” / - Carrie Glenn Hand drawn images from my own photos, then airbrushed and painted You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios / To purchase the card I created from this work Click Here /

  • 5000+ Views / Favs: 61 / / / / My origami calendar / / Just one sheet makes a big difference; / One sheet that can make over 2000 cranes. / Each crane a step closer to a better world; / Each piece a step closer to peace. Each square in the grid paper is 5×5mm; and to be exact, there were 2028 full squares in the paper When I was in grade 5 our teacher read “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes” to our class. Sadako Sasaki was infected with leukemia. She spent her days folding cranes and making wishes upon them; wishing for her health and for a more peaceful world (the quote above is my writing inspired by the story of the thousand paper cranes). This concept was originally created in 2008, and photographed without a tripod. But now I have a tripod and decided to re-shoot this again and re-uploaded it on September 6, 2009. • You can always tell a man by his hands…they can be rough, tough and dirty…but if they are gentle enough to grace a rose, than you know you found a winner! Pentax K10D A beautiful poem written by Dalton Sayre / Clasped in hands so strong / Petals bright and sweet / In contrast to the mines / So dark and full of heat This blessing Gaia gives / To those who take time out / To stop and smell the roses / And love instead of shout So hear the plea I offer up / To cloud and sky above / As I kneel on Mother Earth / As gentle as a dove I thank you for your bounty / And all that you provide / For roses blooming up above / And the ore you keep inside I know how much you care for us / Although you bear our scars / For unto us doth spill the light / Of sun and moon and stars

  • Impressionist, painterly / Two boys doing what they do best in the rain. Originally impressionism was that the colour should be dropped pure on the canvas rather than mixed on the palette. Today, now that we have so many new paints and mediums to work with, while the original concept of impressionism remains the same, styles and techniques have evolved. / My style of Impressionism embraces traditional painting. It is the evolution of impressionism that i am hoping to achieve, from the original traditional techniques of impressionist painting all the way to this modern impressionist digital art which can be stylized and painterly depending on my subject and mood. My work is hand painted digital painting and is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model. The artist uses painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer. / I create the painting, directly on my PC, by using a Wacom tablet, a stylus pen and ArtRage painting software. The Wacom tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface. The stylus pen is my paintbrush.

  • I recently watched IT Crowd S3 and as a homage to this great show decided to create this design. This design was also a tribute to my other IT Crowd Shirt selling 80 copies. Thank-you everyone for your support. I made this design by taking screenshots of the intro of the IT Crowd and then printing them out. I then used photoshop to draw the design by glancing over at the printouts frequently. The text used is: http://www.dafont.com/ds-digital.font P.S A buyers booth pic would be rad :)
