CLICK TO LEARN MORE / Sales of this Design? – 3 sales so far :) / / / “Moo Cow Sunrise Family”: by Karin Taylor is another digital design based on Baby Bull Production (click here to see more) / Baby Bull Production is something I created not that long ago. It’s a mixed media piece on canvas textured paper…...i did it in response to the chilled out cows at Mullumbimby, northern New South Wales, who seem to be very laid back, i suspect they are indulging in the ‘other’ kind of grass also….... they have this real chilled look about them, and I’ve never seen cows anywhere else that have this way about them. I put it in the Casino Art Exhibition and it was the only painting that sold, every year a male school teacher goes to that show, or so the legend goes…....and purchases a piece…...it was my lucky year. Tonight I was asked if I’d ever sold a painting in a gallery…well, yes, and at exhibitions and privately. To date I believe I have sold between 30 and 40 original paintings, which I am very proud of…..in the early days 2002 I was very prolific, things have slowed down a bit with my painting now, because i am much more deliberate and take a lot of time to imbue my paintings with layers and love and depth…..it is just how i have grown as an artist, it is nice to report that there is growth along the journey…(and sales lol)!!! Somebody also has a print of these cows and loves them very much from what I understand lol

Meg had fun posing, and Nanna had fun with the processing! Created with two photos and a few layers. Extracted the background from the legs, desaturated the colours, overlaid a photo of a texture and blended the background image through. Companion piece to Danse avec moi PUBLISHED in Australia’s Camera magazine January 2009 This image made Photo of the Day in the Photo Art category on http://www.shutterbugs.biz/ today (18 Nov 08) ... !!! Summer Breeze a beautiful poem by the same title by a dear friend of mine Anne Van Alkemade / Inspired by the song Summer Breeze / by Seals and Croft Also inspired by myself and my experience of having bugs and insects come to try and take up residence in my ears… scrabbling around in there, getting all comfy…while I’m going crazy…click beetles, houseflies and spiders so far have all tried this… lol This is a girl who has an affinity with nature, and as the summer breezes begin to blow here in Australia…....the animals are drawn to live in her hair thinking that it must be branches of a tree… yes, my hair’s that dry… :) I thought it a fitting one for summer, hope you like her… Pencil drawing took me about 3 hours / Digital colouring – 10 hours / Total time 13 hours

Sea oats whisper in the wind / A gull breaks the night with its cries. / I stand alone taking all this in / And a smile comes into my eyes. Darkness, darkness all around, / The sand so cool to my feet. / The music of the ocean near, / Yet, silence set in so deep. A motionless sky beacons to me / While streaming white stars say no. / So I will stay where I be, I’ll not disturb thee / For I really don’t want to go. Melting clouds drift all about / Just like ghosts beyond the sky. / Now and then there comes a call / As a sea bird soars on by. Away beyond the shoreline tide / A few lone ships fade and hide. / There they await the dawn / Knowing then their work is done. Ebbing, peaceful rhythms ever so near; / Quiet solitude engulfs me, / I am calm and I am happy here, / Walking in the night by the sea. _____ Several backgrounds were blended together in Photoshop CS4, and textures added. The beautiful girl was blended over several layers, some of them being blurred to give movement to her dress. The clouds and moonbeams were painted. / / There’s an Elephant in my Garden / a drawing on catridge from my Art Diary / digitally coloured I hope that the grownups who look at this painting will remember something special from their childhood, some hopeful feeling, which will help them through today’s difficulties. There are all the colours of the rainbow in this piece, to remind us that there is always hope, no matter how hopeless it seems sometimes. The rainbow is a sign of hope. Children See/Children Do powerful message for grownups I hope that all the children who look at this painting will drift off into a faraway place in their imagination and feel wonderful for a while, especially if things are getting them down…and if life is wonderful, may this little picture add to the wonder and spark the imagination. On 16/12/09 This image has had 935 views and 239 comments I have created this for the Winter Whimsy Challenge which is in the enchanting Animal Fantasy and Whimsy Group. The challenge called for a creative portrayal of animals in the winter. I have so enjoyed creating this one. Whenever I make composites of animals it always makes me smile and feel incredibly happy. I chose the polar bears because I thought it would be fun to try and develop an image using largely white as the dominant colour (and I also thought that we would be seeing a great many reindeers in the coming month!)
