About this image / I created this self-portrait while at a crossroads in my life. I was starting to find my voice and that gave me confidence, that confidence gave me courage and i could feel the heavy, emotional toxicity, starting to leave my body. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Available for sale as Laminated Prints, Cards, Matted Prints, Posters, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / About This Image / Images originally photographed with Kodak CN400 film using a self-timer (black & white film that’s processed in C-41 chemistry). / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Out of the Fog I have come out of the fog / Penetrating this filthy haze that taints my innocence / No longer a victim of my past / But rather a survivor, fearlessly exploring my future / Releasing myself from these chains of self-hatred / Shedding the shame that has coated my soul / For too many years Stepping out of this chamber of horrors / In which my mind has been a prisoner / For so long / Lifting off my shoulders the burdens / Of anger and resentment / I have been carrying for this beast Knowing that though I can never forget / I must forgive the evils / Forced upon my flesh / Rather than weak and dependent / I continue to grow resilient and strong Utilizing challenges of the past / As tools to cope with / The struggles that lie ahead / It is now I let go of the victim inside me / Drinking in the freedom from a past / That will no longer bind me © Jaeda DeWalt listen to Jaeda recite The Chamber / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / This image is featured in Jaeda’s Artography Book! / Shades of the Soul – Click to Preview! / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / You might also like . . . / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / /

Keep your portfolio short and sweet. Show only your absolute best work and ensure your portfolio can be flicked through in under a minute. People have really short attention spans Use tags. But only use relevant tags which describe key features of the work. Use your journal to give buyers a glimpse into your motivations, inspirations and learning. Don’t put anything negative in it (people can see it!) Remove negative or critiquing comments from under artworks- potential buyers can read them and you don’t want them to be put off Personalise your work by adding meaningful descriptions that tell your audience about how the work was created, what it was inspired by or the story behind it Think about and make a deliberate decision on how much to charge for your art
Enjoy!! _
This was painted from a sketch and photograph back home after returning while travelling on a healing journey from Qld to Alice Springs in 2002 Instead of going on a ‘proper;’holiday after a traumatic few years I decided I just had to see the Centre of our beautiful country …so …we just jumped into the car, 4×4 and slept in the back ,cooking with one frypan over a small gas fire rested on the tailboard ,most times I slept on the ground next to the car bcause i didn’t like being confined. Luckily no mozzies appeared. A Gum Tree for Shallay
Imagine being born again. Only this time your mother is the earth and you come fully equipped with memories, knowledge and a belief system. What raw emotions are evoked when the first thing you are confronted with is an environment completely foreign to what you were expecting? / Fear, confusion, doubt and loneliness. / Or because of the new environment one may lose their inhibitions, feel joy or perhaps discover inner strength and courage. Maybe the nine images are a true metaphorical reflection of the artists soul? / His background and love for the stage and theatre. / His longing to find true love and a wanting audience. / The ongoing battle of time and money between industry and creative / fulfilment. Born from this earth, the series, everyone deserves a new beginning, a chance to start over. / / / Was priviledged to work with the beautiful Bronwen Hyde during the Aradale weekend and thank her greatly for her time, acceptence of my crazy ideas and her near perfect contortionist act to get into the metal duct! :D / This and another 2 images will be on display at the BSG Picture This exhibition that begins this Friday. / Much thanks also goes to Karen who mastered the art of throwing props in an instant! :) / / The weekend was a huge success and I thouroughly enjoyed spending time with like-minded souls. / Massive thanks to the following for your muse, inspiration and collaboration… / Kara Rasmanis / Jenny Hall / John Robb / Matt Allan from Disenchanted / Melissa Kirkham / Jo O’Brien / James Price / Michael Alesich / Lucky Vegetable / khelltic / Bronwen Hyde / Karen / / Art Folders… / / Entire Portfolio / Born From This Earth – Series / Hearts At War / Vehicular works / Architecture / Travel / B&W Photography / Transitional Industrial Utopian Series / Abstract / Models and Fashion Photography
