This is the complete artwork that I produced for the cover of my book: Plan BE, Secrets of the Divine Feminine (Book 1). / www.gotoplanbe.com I took some reference shots of hands and leafs and then finished the piece in markers, pencils and chalk pastels on paper before scanning it into Photoshop to work with the contrast and color. This piece is an important symbol for all women (and men). It is time to step into your power, embrace your higher, authentic self and no longer believe in the lies that you have been told by organized religion and society. It is time to choose to stop living in Fear and Judgment of self and others and come out from behind that ‘Fig Leaf’.

Staring at my reflection I see beyond to waves of sliding silky blue that collide with cords of long long reeds and sand and sink to mud. But then I look back and see only yesterday’s old shirt and a sign behind my head that reads “Fly Away” and a flash of a light that won’t stop won’t stop, though I cover my eyes, plug my ears and bite my tongue. Then the drop falls into the pool and creates a circle that hypnotizes me into tranquility. For an instant the blue is beautiful. For an instant I play in the circle. For an instant a song emerges from the drop’s drizzle and trickle and refreshes the dirge that has been crowding my brain for the day. And I do fly away. And then fall back in a drop to the pool. Once again. “Drop in a Pool” is 15”x20” acrylic on paper
