what can you see ?

It reminds some of tartan, and me bit a little bit of fashionista (as those who know me wouldn’t say!), of burberry. But really, it’s layers of stripes and cross stripes-can’t help any connection! I was a little bit inspired by steve’s drips (not that I hadn’t just used drips in the last couple of paintings! eg the fish) / -just to keep going with it as I really want to develop my abstract abilities-it’s such an art! I love layers and textures and want people to feel like they can touch the paintings. (therefore, they are textured and coated with a veneer which makes them easy to clean!)

In memory of my beloved min pin “Pinky” (10.09.1994 – 18.07.2007). Pinky’s a big dog in a little package. She was stubborn, spoilt, alert, smart, very loyal, playful, snappy, loud, amusing, feisty, but most of all, loved by her family and she loved us back just as much. We will miss you always, baby.

each swallow has the chinese character “yen” written on its body. “yen” in chinese means “swallow”.

“I brought you flowers…” is a colored pencils drawing. I finally got some time to draw by hand with my favorite watercolor pencils… :) Made this drawing for a birthday card.

Copy of Georges Seurat’s, ‘The Seine at La Grande Jatte’ executed in acrylics. / A summery scene. I painted this one when I was 18 years old and living in Galway (Ireland)....quite a few years ago at this stage. The lighting on the trees and the water all along The River Seine (France) is magical and this was an impressionist painter’s paradise and still remains a fantastic source of inspiration for artists today. / Georges Seurat (a post-impressionist painter) invented the style of ‘Pointillism’. barely photoshoped, / yes i did go to a lake and sit on a chair in the middle of it :) www.arphotography123.webs.com So I’ve annoying my parents looking for old furniture and props around the house. Finally after a good rummage in the shed, my dad said I could have this old wooded chair as it about to break. / Went to the lake, took my photo, got LOTS and LOTS of stares, cause it was a Sunday. I honestly thought someone would come up to me ask me what I was doing but they didn’t thankful. There was a guy watching me while he was fishing but he was no trouble. It was hot today finaly got sunburnt though. I used a remote to take it my camera canon 1000d was on a tripod. / My mum helped me with this one, she drove me, I just started having driving lessons so soon I will be able to drive around looking for new places for photoshoot :)

an older design revamped slightly to put on darker tee. I added a new adjustment layer to give more depth to the colours and made smaller to look better on ladies tees. Although you can’t see it from here.. there are gaps between each sphere/bubble/pebble… so the colour of the t-shirt shows between each of them.
