  • I’ve been on a mission to conquer the abstract-a true measure of an artist, I think, as there is no ‘reality’ to compare it too, no likeness to draw close to. Just you. You decide to continue, or when to stop. When to use the ‘f’ word-as we used to tease our sculpture teacher>there is no such thing as ‘finished’. I think there is. the energy passes-it’s time-if you go over, it become overworked and pushed, forced. And therein lies the art.

  • This is just how I would imagine it to be…His kingdom is forever and forever.

  • I played around with the grass of the everglades to be able to have something of the essence i feel when i see that grass running for miles and miles.. this place breathes Gods Glory in the whispers of this gras.. and I feel compelled to give God the glory.. I hope you enjoy . The Everglades are a subtropical wetland located in the southern portion of the U.S. state of Florida, comprising the southern half of a large watershed. The system begins near Orlando with the Kissimmee River, which discharges into the vast but shallow Lake Okeechobee. Water leaving the lake in the wet season forms a slow-moving river 60 miles (97 km) wide and over 100 miles (160 km) long, flowing southward across a limestone shelf to Florida Bay at the southern end of the state. The ever-changing Everglades are shaped by water and fire, with frequent flooding in the wet season and drought in the dry season. Environmental activist Marjory Stoneman Douglas popularized the term “River of Grass” to describe the sawgrass marshes, part of a complex system of interdependent ecosystems that include cypress swamps, the estuarine mangrove forests of the Ten Thousand Islands, tropical hardwood hammocks, pine rockland, and the marine environment of Florida Bay.

After a few more adjustments with brightness and contrast, Fractal “Safety Net” was now complete. I do hope you like it!! / / /

  • DIMENSIONS / Best viewed large. / / / / “DIMENSIONS” was FEATURED in GROUP INCENDIA / / / / / “DIMENSIONS” was FEATURED in the group YOU’RE ACCEPTED / / / / / “DIMENSIONS” was featured in the group IMAGE WRITING / / / I created this image “DIMENSIONS” using new parameters in fractal art through Incendia software, and did all of the post-processing in Photoshop. / ABOUT FRACTAL ART: / Fractal art is created indirectly with the help of fractal generating software, iterating through three phases: setting parameters of appropriate fractal software, executing the possibly lengthy calculation, and evaluating the product. In some cases, other graphics programs, such as Photoshop, are used to further modify the images produced. / /

  • Portrait format watercolour illustration of two red poppies on a white background. Painted in the field by myself as the artist.

  • Fractal art. This fractal was inspired by the wonderful and always awesome clarkey. Jan was trying to help a fellow artist find her spark of inspiration. Inspiration comes in all different forms and wondrous ways. This fractal made me think of why do we create? The answer was simple. For the love of what we do. Not only did this fractal have the answer to my question but it also has Jan’s influence at the very heart of the art work. Inspiration is a wonderful thing, but it is even more joyous when it comes from someone we know and admire. Thank you so much Jan!! Please stop by Jan’s gallery and have yourself a grand time as you stroll through her wonderful works. :-) / © Dave Moilanen

  • This is a mini Grand Julians, not as fancy as many do but good for what I can create, for now. Rather suprised they came out at all this time. / There are two to this set and you will be able to see how different the same creation can be with a bit different shading and background color. / The dates I put on my pieces are my end date, when the creation is finished. / Sometimes I don’t like how it is turning out but I will save it for another day, which often adds clarity. / And some of the pieces I do, I will work on for months before I deem it ready. Using my M.A. numbers. / Both will be best seen best large. / Am an Artist in NW Oregon.

  • I created this work with the fractal programs: Apophysis 2.08 3d hack + script plus Ultra Fractal 5.2 and the tools and filters of Photoimpact and Photoshop. Designer: Thea Walstra / /

  • My computer took two full days non stop to render this creation of mine. It is based on the last fractal I did, with some added numbers and adjustments,I used with AP3. In the close up shot you can see the extensive detail. At a distance I think it looks something like an Abstract Sea Star but close up, looks like woven fabric. / This is best seen close up. / Am an Artist located in NW Oregon. Here is a close up. /

  • This began with an image I shot of a piece of quartz crystal on 10/19/09….edited in PhotoImpact11 for this final effect…..Please view in large format…... / Copyright protected and registered – Please respect copyrights:MCN: CY3NG-V2L7Y-FS2VY / / The Original /
