Taken in the bush near Alice Springs. Waiting for the sun to come up and saw this dead tree and just had to take a shot with all the colours behind it.

These autumn colours and reflections were taken at Oakbank, Adelaide Hills, South Australia, Australia, in autumn (obviously). I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D on a tripod. This is an HDR shot.

I took this picture a couple of years ago at the beach of Marina di Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. / This is a fine example I think of how a fisheye lens can completely change the feeling of an ordinary scene. The subject is simply some surf on the seashore, captured from a distance of not more than a foot. / The original picture is a Fuji Velvia 50 Iso medium format slide. This door detail was photographed in Avanos, a small town in the Cappadocia region of central Turkey. The bright colors and old wood of houses and doors in these small towns are often beautiful and always intriguing. The splintered wood, tooled brass lock and handle, and encroaching shadow give this piece a sense of mystery for me.

Macro photograph taken from a rock on the Northern Gold Coast, Qld! Taken with aperture priority, slightly adjusted contrast to make the natural colours pop out! Makes a wonderful nature abstract! This Rock Art Series was taken from the same rock, I really don’t know why these rocks had such unusual colours. I believe they may have been mined from Tamborine Mountain which is famous for its “Thunderegg” rocks. Rocks shaped like large eggs and when you cut them open reveal amazing colours and crystals! Macro photography is my passion, I love to photograph mostly bark, rock and flowers!! / /
