shoujo is a term used in English to refer to manga and anime aimed at a young, female audience.The term is a transcription of the Japanese girl. The manga genre is stereotyped as melodramatic stories of romance usually with a female protagonist, and drawn in a flowing style where beautiful characters with huge, intricately drawn eyes.Manga genres:alternative known as Garo, Gekiga – dramatic pictures, La nouvelle manga from Franco-Belgian/Japanese artistic movement, semi-alternative manga with popular publication individualistic style, Magical girl, Robot or Mecha and giant robots, Moe also known as maho kanojo or magical girlfriend, Yuri or lesbian romance, Shonen-ai or gay romance and Hentai for pornography.

8.5” x 11: graphite pencil drawing on paper. This is a fellow artist I meet on MySpace a few years ago and finally got around to asking him I could draw him. He sent me four photos in a series and this is the first. I decided to leave the bottom of the drawing unfinished. Not out of being lazy but I tend to like pencil drawings to look just that. This is a Sea King Helicopter belonging to 771 Squadron S&R, RNAS Culdrose, Helston, Cornwall. They had just done a display with the Lifeboats at the Dawlish Air Show, 20/08/09. I have added a texture to this as the sky did not look very good and wanted to give it more impact. I think I have done ok. / What do you think? Be honest please.
