This is one of the things I do with my job with the New South Wales Fire Brigades, Im an instructor in Compartment Fire Behaviour which teaches firefighters how to deal with flashover and backdrafts that can occur in buildings. This simulator demonstrates how fire gases can build up and ignite, When the firefighters use gas cooling techinques by using short pulses on their hoselines, this disperses the gases and eliminates the possibility of these gases igniting.Temperatures in this simulator can at times reach in excess of 800 Degress C. Its the best training and I love every aspect of it.
