It is one of a series of photo-manips I made using several shots of a rolly-polly aka pill bug (Armadillidium vulgare).

Hand up, who DIDN’t play with rolly-pollys (rolie-polies?) aka pillbugs as a kid? Pill woodlouse (Armadillidium vulgare) is a crustacean – so technically it’s a land dwelling shrimp… I guess…

This is one of the designs from my coloring book, ‘Cosmic Animal Wisdom—A Coloring Experience For All Ages’, which is a collection of 50+ of my animal drawings, each with a simple statement of that animal’s wisdom. i drew all the designs with sharpies (permanent markers), scanned them in, and they were printed into a coloring book. Armadillo inspires us to put up boundaries for our own self-protection.
