Personally i always find it a better skill to be able to find ‘peace of mind’ rather than give someone a ‘piece of my mind’. But then again people love a bit of drama! haha…and you could read this as portioning out pieces! ps-Sorry if you saw this last night…i wasn’t happy so i deleted it and started from scratch again. Now i must have also repented and officially completed my goodness challenge! Back to business…stay tuned!

The word “Da’wah” in Arabic simply means to invite (call) to something. When it is used in conjunction with Islam it is understood to mean “Inviting to the Way of submission and surrender to God.” Dawah is an obligation for all Muslims. “Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance.“ (Qur’an 16:125 – YUSUFALI) “Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go aright.” (Qur’an 16:125 – PICKTHAL) “Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and have disputations with them in the best manner; surely your Lord best knows those who go astray from His path, and He knows best those who follow the right way.” (Qur’an 16:125 – SHAKIR) According to modern Islamic theology, the Qur’an is a revelation very specifically in Arabic, and so it should only be recited in the Arabic language. Translations into other languages are necessarily the work of humans and so, according to Muslims, no longer possess the uniquely sacred character of the Arabic original. Since these translations necessarily subtly change the meaning, they are often called “interpretations.” For instance, Pickthall called his translation The Meaning of the Glorious Koran rather than simply The Koran.

WAR… / . / . / Is WAR just a word? / Its meanings are far reaching and deafening. / WAR is a state of mind, a physical struggle, discord, antagonism, conflict between people, nations, factions, states. / War is ugly, cruel, combative, relentless, a disrepect for life. / Just to one party, unjust to another. / War began in Heaven, brought to Earth, and through generation after generation it has become a means to an end. / An End with no begining if left unresolved. / Man hasnt the capacity to stop because of something far reaching within his soul…greed, pride, and the nature of SIN. Man talks of Peace and Change but hasnt the ability to stop, what can bring end to WAR? / Anniliation? / But then after anniliation comes a temporary peace, from fear, a need for survival until mankind reaches up into a plateau of wealth again and WAR returns…. eventually. We were driving down this road near Challis, / Idaho and had to stop for these large, healthy / bighorn sheep. I got out of the car, but stayed / close to it in order to capture this image. / There was a skunk in the middle of the road / that had been hit by a car and this large / bighorn had gone out to check on it. It felt / sad to me, like he had lost a friend. He stood / out there for quite some time and we just / waited for him to move. (This photo doesn’t / show the skunk but I have one that does.) / It’s too bad that so many animals are struck / by cars. / Canon 40D

Mum and dad have a bit of a disagreement while on a family outing while child watches on. Nothing serious and all is wonderful again. Typical, average, happens all the time.
