Inspired by the 2005 Doctor Who episode ‘The Empty Child’ where a gasmask wearing child continually asked the question ‘Are you My Mummy?’

The intension behind this piece is to evoke a feeling of child like innocence and happiness. The use of soft pink and purple watercolours is over-layed with hand drawn doodles which merge into the IMOK universe of characters. Our motto “Let’s create a world that says I’m ok…if you are?” is contradicted with the statement “people are lost”, reflecting what is going on within the world today.

This is probably the last of my kitty pix as I just got bored taking pictures of them once their voices dropped. And that’s probably why they treat me with total indifference these days. In fact, just the other day Scratch finished his water (we don’t give him milk because he never deserves it), looked up at me and said: “SillyBoy… or whatever they call you on that bubble thing… you could have been great if you’d just kept on shooting us…” So I told him I’d shoot him if he didn’t shut up. This is Scratch, from the same shoot as CAT in BW. He’s a pedigree Blue Point and he knows it and has since grown to be a total pain in the butt. Our other Siamese is Pepsi who is a dime a dozen Apple Head and doesn’t know it and is totally OK. But he’s not as photogenic. Such is life. Grin & bear it!

People are sliced and diced every day for cosmetic/plastic / surgery just because they think they are unattractive and / they aren’t what is in the magazine. Everyone feels inferior to / some one on the physical aspect. People who don’t need / corrective surgery are allowed to get it to enhance their ‘self-esteem’. Two chickens out for an afternoon stroll in winter, near Kelso, Borders. They were starting out from the farm just behind me. Where were they going? The other side of the road or the end of it? I seem to recall this was my first attempt at selective colouring (but am willing to be corrected by RBers with a good memory (or, who need to get out more)). This is perhaps my most favourite shot because it has caused so many other people to smile and add comments. Thank you all. I hope it continues to bring joy to many more. Hello, Grant has been working on the BubbleSites for months now – and he’s keen to see the fruits of his hard work out there on the ‘Internets’. So today we’re taking the wrap off the BubbleSites and making it generally available. The thinking behind the BubbleSites is to provide you with a very clean, simple personal gallery website. Your BubbleSite is free of anyone else’s branding or artwork, and you control the content. The BubbleSites are one small step towards our vision for RedBubble. We can’t possibly hope to do everything for everyone with one website, so we’re looking to make RedBubble more flexible. We want to allow people to use RedBubble in different ways. Some folks want to use RedBubble as a place to send their customers. With the current website your customers land on a profile page, but there’s lots of distractions. BubbleSites provide a much more focused experience, for those who want it. We’re still doing lots of work on the BubbleSites, so expect to see more changes in the near future. In particular we’re working right now on giving people the ability to change the background color. If you’ve got any feedback or suggestions please wander over to the feedback forum and type away. This week we’ve also made some small changes elsewhere on RB. Images in challenges are no longer cropped (our challenge software is currently under beta testing – see here for a few example challenges). For those with a technical mind we’ve embedded hidden copyright information into every large image displayed on RedBubble – this means that if somone downloads a large image off RedBubble it can always be traced back to you. By default we’ve inserted your name and profile URL into each image, but you can change this on your edit profile page (down towards the bottom of the screen).
