  • MY SECRET SPOT-Many think that Los Angeles, California is filled with traffic and cars; however, I know of several unique spots. This IS one of my favorites. I’ll never tell you where it is-unless you come to L.A…then if you’re nice…we can go to a picnic here. Do you want to go?

  • another shot of the fire my volunteer fire dept was putting out wednesday night..this is a old landmark that used to be a restaurant, then a river tubing company, the river tube company has been closed for two years now. this was the 4th time this building has been caught on fire, this time..its a goner, happy to say no firefighters were harmed / you could feel the heat off this thing from 25-30 foot away! but then after all died down, we all like to have frozen our “hoses” off!! temps got down below 30 degrees (F), and we were all soaked! / it was a real challenge, shooting this , because the ony light was from the fire, and the trucks, and i hand held camera for all of the shots / im happy to say out of 112 shot, i only deleted close to 10, if that here is the link to the local tv station that has put my shots on there http://www.wbir.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=53827

  • GOOD FRIDAY MAMMATUS / Photo best viewed large. / / / / / / FEATURED WORKS / “GOOD FRIDAY MAMMATUS” was FEATURED in the group #1 ARTISTS OF RED BUBBLE / / / I took this photo of Mammatus on a Good Friday before Easter in Ashland, Kentucky. The clouds first started rolling in and looked like fluffy white marshmallows. Then in front of the setting sun they dramatically began to change colors. They went from snow white to shades of silvers, pinks, grays, blues and even purples! The colors were quite striking and dramatic; these clouds were nothing like anything I had ever seen before! For a few minutes they turned very dark, and it was a sight I will never forget!! These amazing mammatus clouds lasted about 45 minutes before they exited my area. / / / We were under our second tornado watch of the year, and I found out later that I was standing right under the anvil of a severe thunderhead and that a tornado could have formed at any moment! Luckily for me it didn’t, and I was able to capture some phenomenal, amazing clouds. I can’t quite put it into words other than to say, “I closed my eyes for a few seconds and felt like I had been kissed on my cheek by an angel.” This was one time in my life that I will always remember!!! / / / This photograph of “GOOD FRIDAY MAMMATUS” has won National awards, been published in an Anthology, and has been shown on National television. This image is also featured in several websites and blogs throughout the USA and Australia for educational purposes. / / /

  • THIS IS A BIG IMAGE VIEW LARGER FOR BEST RESULTS Isnt it a buzz when you get that perfect light, the shades of day as it is born, as the first rays light up an already magnificent view ? For those viewing, commenting and favouriting if i’m lucky thank you This shot was taken from Echo Point in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area at dawn, it was created from 5 bracketed images using a Nikon D300 fitted with a Nikon 18-200mm. No filters were used. The image was taken at sunrise certainly a great view. The Blue Mountains are located 2 hours west of Sydney by road, also by train for visitors to Sydney, there are also organised day trips via motor coach that will take you to the area for the day…. though if you have the time spend a few days in the area. You can see all the attractions, have a devonshire tea in one of the many teahouses, or sit on the edge of the valley that seems to go on forever, and listen to the birdlife. Bushwalking is a must ! Equipment : D300 Nikon 18-200mm lens / Technique: HDR 5 Exposures Photomatix Framed See Also /

  • A slightly confused trolley across the bay from the San Francisco city. This thing was missing a wheel and rusty as hell. Shot around 7:50 pm before the sun had gone down, a little experiment with my new ND400 Filter :) If you look extremely carefully the golden gate is on the horizon engulfed in the infamous fog that rolls in every single bloody day… / Settings Canon 40D, 17-85mm IS. • Title from a certain Chris Isaak song… I haven’t been taking a lot of photos whilst enjoying my stay in San Francisco but this little visit to a certain bridge we all know, made the fact that I hadn’t been out not matter to me at all, I absolutely loved this spot and I can’t wait to come back to this great city and explore it a little bit more… Without a doubt this is already one of my favourite photos out of the many thousands I have taken over the past 18 months or so, thanks for looking :D / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm IS. • The beauty of color in Autumn. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter, around late September in the United Kingdom. Night becomes visually noticeably ,the cold felt with a strong need not be alone. The leaves fall of the tree and leave them bare and alone. This is part of my autumn theme. / Location: Warwick Park area of Tunbridge Wells – Kent UK
