I’ve not seen many donkeys in my time so it was a pleasure to meet this performing duo. Whenever I look at this print it makes me laugh with them, and please don’t fret, their impromptu performance was generously rewarded with lots of nutritious food.

In the heart of the Nelson Lakes National Park lies one of the best situated tramping huts in New Zealand, Angelus Hut. This early summer morning shot of the beautifully still lake gives a perfect reflection of the ridge behind and was taken just minutes from the hut. A great place to get away from the daily grind, go on get out there!

This shot is one of many from an amazing experience walking across the Khongorn Els dunes of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia . A frighteningly hostile place which looks so serene and peaceful. Luckily for us we weren’t in the hot or cold season when temperatures soar to over 40°C or plummet to almost -40°C.
