  • A playful juvenile bottlenose dolphin breaking the surface on a beautiful late autumn afternoon. Queen Charlotte Sound, Marlborough, New Zealand.

  • Aitutaki, Cook Islands – one of the jewels of the pacific. A local fisherman checks his net oblivious to an awesome sunset .

  • New Zealand’s Christmas tree in bloom.

  • Sunrise in the Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand.

  • This sky blue Indian Ringneck Parakeet had an inquisitive personality which we felt this picture captured beautifully.

  • I’ve not seen many donkeys in my time so it was a pleasure to meet this performing duo. Whenever I look at this print it makes me laugh with them, and please don’t fret, their impromptu performance was generously rewarded with lots of nutritious food.

  • The Arc de Triomphe, one of the iconic monuments of Paris. It’s hard to match the postcard views of Paris that can be purchased around the world but we found this great setting for a memorable picture, the stairwell leading up to the exhibition hall.

  • A Silo at the Cadbury chocolate factory and a harsh midday sun provided some beautiful shadows to show off the famous Cadbury colours. Dunedin, New Zealand.

  • This amazing piece hangs in the Civic Square in Wellington, New Zealand . A representation of the variety of fern leafs found on these islands captured here with stark contrast of a strong midday sun and a deep blue summer sky.

  • A tree in full autumn colours in one of the magnificent gardens of Kyoto.

  • In the heart of the Nelson Lakes National Park lies one of the best situated tramping huts in New Zealand, Angelus Hut. This early summer morning shot of the beautifully still lake gives a perfect reflection of the ridge behind and was taken just minutes from the hut. A great place to get away from the daily grind, go on get out there!

  • This calming scene where local villagers simply sat and passed the time looking out above the cloudtops from the rim of a volcanic crater. What were they waiting for and what was in the box? We’ll never know! / Laguna Quilatoa, Ecuador .

  • Volcanic reflections in Laguna Verde in the Altiplano, a high altitude area in Bolivia bordering Chile. At 4000m above sea level the air is perfectly clear and the mountains still soar high above.

  • The Cabbage Tree is found throughout the north island of New Zealand. A distinctively Kiwi image.

  • The Nikau palm, found near windswept beaches across New Zealand.

  • An abstract representation of the two main features of the Tongariro National Park, Mt Tongariro (in the background) and Mt Ngauruhoe. The Tongariro Crossing, the most famous day walk in NZ, takes you between these awesome volcanoes where the power of nature overwhelms your senses.

  • Spring in New Zealand and millions of lambs fill the fields. This cute little one was taking a scenic stroll along the rocky Kaikoura coastline.

  • This weatherbeaten tree managed to find life on the windswept ash and gravel covered slopes of the volcanic Central Plateau of the North Island of New Zealand (home of three awesome volcanoes; Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe and Tongariro). The moody clouds behind reflect the turbulent weather that rips through the area on the days when it’s not so postcard perfect in New Zealand .

  • Spring in New Zealand ... These two lambs posed beautifully against the lush green grass almost mirroring each others movement. And of course, they’re incredibly cute (although not as cute as this photo)!

  • It makes you just want to be there doesn’t it? An awesome sunset . Aitutaki is one of island groups that make up the Cook Islands . It’s a spectacular place and can rightly claim to be one of the jewels of the Pacific.

  • The Place de la Concorde on the Paris Metro. Each stop on the metro has it’s own character and many are decorated to highlight the local surroundings. Pass the time waiting for the next train and pick out some of the words of La Republique!

  • An atmospheric sunset on the majestic island of Savaii, Samoa.

  • This abstract shot will ring a bell with any tramper (hiker) in New Zealand.

  • This shot is one of many from an amazing experience walking across the Khongorn Els dunes of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia . A frighteningly hostile place which looks so serene and peaceful. Luckily for us we weren’t in the hot or cold season when temperatures soar to over 40°C or plummet to almost -40°C.
