Birth of Dreams is part of a larger body of work in which I abstractly convey storyline progression. This image is the first piece from a three part story (Trihedron). In this story I visually convey the process of dreams. Each part of the Trihedron represents one of the phases: birth, life or death, the ultimate events in any “life story.” © 2005. Limited edition (20) archival prints are available from my web site: DAViD M. ALLeN This image was created using LightWave 3D and Photoshop. Image maps and textures were made in Photoshop. Text was handwritten within Photoshop using a 6×9 Intuos 2 tablet.

Shadows of a Memory explores the pain that is associated with mental, physical and even sexual abuse. All of us experience an aspect of this pain at some level. Pisces was created using Photoshop. It combines five of my own photos, two photos that I have permission to use and two drawings. The central figure is made-up of two photos (© Sandra Torregrosa-Allen) of the same person, blended together. The fisheye and mouth are from one photo, cropped. The background texture is made of 4 different layered and manipulated photos (close up images of natural textures). A new serie about TV & reports & Archives’ images. * New series. / Last Wednesday I looked at “Wednesdays of the History” on Arte – german/french TV - “200 days to remake the world “- / Yalta & Postdam – Second Mondial War / Incited by the rhythm of the report itself and his freeze frames, I taken of a blow my camera always with range of hands and I started with shooter regularly, as so replacing my elder I had slipped surreptitiously in their place. I cut out the world of my eye distorts to defer. 200 photographs that I taken to remake…

This image is more of a personal work and was generated while I was working through both the physical and psychological (more psychological) problems related to my car accident. Emotional Disfiguration was created using Photoshop. It combines three of my own photos and two drawings. The two drawings are of an eye and of a textured sphere; they are blended into the background elements representing eyes within the image. The rest of the image is made of five different layered and manipulated photos (close up images of natural textures). Buachaille Etive Mhor sits between Rannoch Moor, Glen Etive and Glen Coe, a fine looking mountain from any angle. Here it is further enhanced by pristine snow and a little mist. Taken around twelve years ago, a Fuji Velvia slide scanned with my Nikon Coolscan VED, then cleaned up in CS3. / I cannot remember which camera I used, or the settings, but I would guess f22, and definitely a polarising filter !
