I took this at Martin Place on Good Friday 2007. Being Good Friday, 8 am and rainy, there was hardly anyone out, which made for a great photo opportunity. This is a HDR with 3xp and as B&W Conversion in Lightroom.
The Pont du Gard located in Nîmes (France) was built shortly before the Christian era to allow the aqueduct of Nîmes to cross the Gard river. The Roman architects and hydraulic engineers who designed the bridge created a technical as well as an artistic masterpiece.

FEATURED IN ’’Italy and all Things Italian’’ GROUP – MAY 2009
as the weather was fairly mild yesterday evening, I decided to go on a short photo-tour here in Innsbruck. / first, I was heading towards the central station, but couldn’t really find anything that interested me…so headed over to the Olympia Halle, the ice hockey stadion. this is just one of a couple of shots i did, but for me this is the one that impressed me most. it’s a six shot panorama, 3 shots, 2 rows and each shot with 3 exposures. sofar nothing really special. the tricky part was as follows: / the mushroom (glass building straight ahead) was only some 7m in front of me and stands up some 12-15m >>> not too much space to take the photo >>> i would need some pretty wide angle. in the end it worked out fine with 12mm and three shots a row. the effect i got looks pretty fisheye-like, but still i think the quality is quite ok.
Featured in Reflections in Building Windows June 11, 2009. / Featured in the Group Natural Color and Light January 8, 2009. / . / ... sometimes an image just keeps pulling at me … for no particular rhyme or reason, I just find it appealing. There’s no dramatic light, no unusual theme or cute puppies (and heaven knows how I love cute puppies), no exotic flowers … it’s just a window with the reflection of the bright blue sky and the autumn trees and a tiny candle beneath it all. But … it’s one of those images that just won’t leave me alone!!! I spent quite awhile at this location, shooting a covered bridge … over and over – from all kinds of angles … but of that afternoon this window shot is, when all is said and done, the one I’m posting!!! ... well, there might be more to come … taken with the Nikon D40x with the 18-135mm lens and the polarizer attached. Jackson’s Mill was built in 1839 and is currently undergoing reconstruction. Located in Bedford County, PA, about 20 minutes south west of Breezewood on Jackson’s Mill Road.

A large pond at the Mt Cootha Botanic Gardens, Brisbane. The dome was designed with the structure of the Amazonica waterlilly in mind (which they grow in this pond). A slight movement of the water has created interesting flowerlike reflections with verigated lillypads floating on top.
Downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada soaring skyscrapers reaching high into the beautiful blue sky and floating cloud cover. I used my trusty Canon 30D with a 24-105 L lens, a polarizer filter.

Sunset photo of the L’Hemisferic building (Giant laser cinema screen) with the Palau de les arts (Music Hall) in Valencia, Spain. These stunning buildings are located near Valencia city centre. Looking like something straight out of science fiction, these building are a must see if you visit Valenica. The image is a HDR to get the detail from the buildings and the wonderful sunset. I HOPE THIS BUILDING DOESN’T UPLOAD in the wrong direction! I hope you like the way this shot turned out. It is very difficult to drive slow in the middle of downtown, see what’s interesting & fight the wind & rain! Smiles Leilani
