Title genesis: Eye imagined this 19th Century lighthouse on the shores of Southern Connecticut as being the summer retreat for the beleaguered & redoubtable Rapunzel; a place to give her some respite from her imprisonment in her familiar fortress abode featured in my work here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/alvinsan9/art/1339024-1-rapunzel —alas, when Eye called out to her, her Copper/Golden Dreads were not up to the task, as they became entangled in the rapacious vines that guard her person from all intruders except the most Intrepid, like ME. Cutting a deal with the Head~Vine (knew he’d be susceptible to a bribe), a pathway was cleared for Rap’s Fragrant Tresses, making our meeting a thing of ease. Neither of us slept till Dawn …

Photograph for my sister. She always used to tell me there was a little red lighthouse under the George Washington Bridge, and I never believed her. One day I finally saw it and found it really funny. I realized a photograph of it would make a good gift, so I found my way under the GWB on the New York side and took some photographs so I can frame one and give it to her for Christmas.
