La Rue Obscure is the oldest street in the old town of Villefranche sur Mer on the French Riviera, between Nice and Monaco. It was built on virgin soil at the beginning of the 13th century. La Rue Obscure formed the basis of the rest of the town’s construction on the slopes rising from this coastal lane. It gave inhabitants of the town certain refuge against possible attacks. The ship captains who were forced by storms to anchor in the bay, could make necessary repairs in safety. La Rue Obscure also welcomed precious merchandise, such as wine, in its cellars.

Please view the larger version for better visual effect !!! / Rising between the picturesque waters of Lake Monona and Lake Mendota, the majestic granite structure of Wisconsin’s Capitol building glows like a beacon, accenting the Madison skyline. And the inside of this building is simply stunning as well. This is an HDR image, which I took almost a year ago, and finally had the chance to finish. This is an HDR image, actually a re-work since the original was the first HDR image I ever created. I have learned a few things since then, hope you like it. Here is an image of the interior which is simply stunning: / My art with 1000+ views

Over and under the Calatrava bridge, Venice, Italy. / We were lucky enough to be able to float underneath the bridge as well and I was so surprised to notice that you can see the people walking over it. Most of the bridge walking area is made of glass, and last night I went over it for the first time since it was opened last month and only just realised that there was this interesting photo opportunity. I liked the idea of combining the two aspects in this diptych. / For the left hand image I was able to set up a tripod and focus decently. For the right hand image I was in a boat being tossed around in the Grand Canal beneath the bridge, and had to use an automatic stability setting. Hence the grainy result. Optimal viewing for cards on a black background.

I shot this last week down in Florida with the very lovely Wendy Hanks as model… Sometimes you work with a model who is so perfect that nearly every picture is a “keeper” – Wendy was such a model and I hope that (despite our geographical distance) her and I work together again soon…
A view of Taj Mahal. It got featured in First Things Group on 8.8.09 It also got featured in Authentic India Group on 8.8.09
What can I say … Sometimes it all does come together perfect. I absolutely love how this turned out, hope you do as well. Image made with a Nikon D200 And Tokina 12-24mm lens. Slight touch of HDR post processing applied, converted to Sepia Tones in Adobe Digital Lightroom.
