HELP!! I have been sitting on this image for a while trying to figure out a name for it and well… I am just drawing a blank. So I thought I would throw it out there to you all to see if you wouldnt mind helping a girl out? All suggestions for a title gratefully accepted =)) *Background info – this is a conservatory near Paramatta Creek in Tasmania, hidden away off the road in the most unlikely of places. The warm light of a Cold November Dawn illuminates the sandstone of Canyonlands National Park and Mesa Arch with the La Sal Mountains hiding in the distance.

The symbolism of this image is deep. Man against nature, his arrogance even when dwarfed by the age and strength of nature. / This was taken in Arches National Park at Delicate Arch in the Fall of 2005. There are many photographs of Delicate Arch and I didn’t want to duplicate what had already been done. With a man dressed in a black suit, he appears in a unique vision of the famed Delicate Arch stepping out from another time and place.

Quite excited about the potential of this one…I’ve only just processed this shot, but during this evening a few days ago, I took a heap of pano’s from this area when the light just got better and better…I’ve also got a shot from this spot taken during a blue sky day…back in my pf somewhere, but it doesn’t compare to this one..imo..anyway, I’ll be busy stitching for quite some time now…..cheers, Rob.

This shot is one part of my previous panorama but I find that this particular crop which is about 2 shots of the total 5 just does something for me..It also shows how much detail is in these pano’s and the potential for an ultra large print which I must do one day. / Taken in the Mornington Peninsula National Park. / Thanks once again for looking and recent comments….cheers, Rob.

I met a fellow RedBubbler, Adam Mattel yesterday and we did a photo shoot together. It was a very enjoyable morning and a pleasure to meet a member that lives nearby. This is one the images captured along the Susquehanna river at Harrisburg, PA. This site was settled due to the founder Harris operating a ferry across the river.

We were vacationing in Iran and there were these mausoleums and tombs in tribute to great poets, architecture reminiscent of old Islam and gorgeous tiles and organic paintings on the walls. This shot was almost unintentional, I noticed the light and the shadows and just took the shot, this one shot. I didn’t even look at it on the digital screen of my camera, there was so much beauty around me I didn’t want to waste time, I didn’t want to miss anything. I didn’t see this shot again till I uploaded the pictures onto my laptop. This picture is a reminder of the beauty of Iran.

Lt. General Wade’s Bridge at Aberfeldy in the Breadalbane region of Highland Perthshire (Breadalbane means “Highland Scotland” in Gaelic). Shot taken on Saturday 20th December 08 in the middle of our winter. Designed by William Adam, Scotland’s best architect. The total cost was £3,596 or, in today’s terms, over £1m. ”... a freestone bridge over the Tay, of five arches, nearly 400ft. in length, the middle arch 60 feet wide, the starlings of oak and the piers and landbreasts founded on piles shod with iron….” (House of Commons Journal, 7th February 1734). The bridge was first opened to traffic at the end of October 1733. Wade regarded it the greatest of his considerable achievements in road-making. In 9 years he had personally supervised the construction of over 250 miles of military roads in the Highlands – the first engineered roads in Britain since Roman times. lt is now the only one of Wade’s 35 major bridges to remain in use as a public highway. Built for 18th century wheeled carriages, it survives to the 21st century as a great memorial to a great roadbuilding engineer. Wade’s Bridge is a Category A listed structure of historic importance (HB Number 20861) under the care of Historic Scotland. The River Tay, Scotland longest river, meanders across Scotland from Loch Tay before flowing out to sea at the Firth of Tay. This picture was captured in Arches National Park, Moab, Utah. A friend told me about this great morning shot so I did some research and went after it. It was a tricky climb to the top of a piller to get in the perfect position. I used a Konica Minolta DiMage A2, ISO 100, F/11, AP 2.8, FOCAL 9.8MM, Manual Exposure.

At last! We’ve had four brilliant storms through here in the last few weeks and I’ve missed each of them. Man these have been tricky buggers – short, very violent, straight overhead – and I’ve miss-timed them each time. The problem has been go out too early and the gear gets soaked and you can’t photograph anyway because of the rain. Leave it a few minutes tool late and that’s it – show’s over folks. / Three times I’ve gone tearing out as the rain eases off with huge, spectacular bolts going off all around and then when I get the tripod out EACH TIME (I kid you not) the moment the camera has gone on the tripod that’s it – the bolts stop dead. I have been teased mercilessly! But this time – gotcha! / This is a single exposure. Two bolts on either side and one overhead – doorway or what!! / And to get an idea of the scale of these bolts those lights off to the left are perched on top of 100m cliffs. And the reddish clouds on the left are reflecting the light from Sydney which is just out of shot. / Taken on the track to Bundeena Cliffs, Royal National Park, Sydney Australia Canon 1Ds MkIII / Tv: 30secs / Av: f/5.0 / ISO: 200 / FL: 45mm

This little gem can be found just around the corner from Loch Ard Gorge near Port Campbell off Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, Australia. I came here the afternoon before and there were snap happy tourists everywhere but decided to come back the next morning and there wasn’t a soul in sight, just the crashing ocean to keep me company… Unfortunately as of early June 2009 this archway has collapsed leaving two apostles next to eachother. What a magical place this is Natural Bridge (also known as Natural Arch), in the World Heritage-listed, Springbrook National Park, Queensland, Australia. Over millions of years, the waters of the mountain fed Cave Creek has worn away at the basalt cave roof, to create this natural wonder. Home to a colony of glow-worms, only visible after sunset. The short hiking walk takes you through some beautiful rainforest, most of the time, you can hear the falling waters of these falls. A must see if you come to the area! Canon 50D, 14mm.
