  • Glowing Jellies

Taken at the Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg, TN. This shot won an honorable mention at the Indiana Sate Fair in my first ever competition. As requested here are the numbers for this image….. Canon Rebel Xt / ISO 400 / Shutter 1/15 / Aperture f4 / 28mm focal length / Handheld

  • Silent dancers
    by Stephen Colquitt

    US$4.99–US$114.00

Photograph was taken at Osaka aquarium during my visit to Japan in 2006 . I used a Nikon D70 and a 50mm 1.4 lens. Camera set in apperture priority at F2.0. Shutter speed 1/40. There was quite strong overhead lighting in the tank. Focus was difficult because the tank was a round shape. I took quite a few shots but this one was the most appealing in terms of the way the jellies lined up. Credit is also to Sophie who was waiting patiently as I was taking the 100’s of photographs over three hours at the aquarium. She did well – and kept her complaining to a minimum because she could see that I was enjoying myself. Must be love

Title: Bored / Camera: D80 / Capture Date: 08/07/2007 / Dimensions: 3872×3135 / Exposure: 1/4 sec at f/45.6 / Focal Length: 195mm / ISO: 500 / Filter: None / Flash: None / Tripod: None / Uploaded Date: 08/07/2007 / Comments: White tiger at the aquarium in Houston. This is why I do not like seeing animals in zoos or cages. Wouldn’t you be bored if you were a jungle animal and you were put in a cage like this? They are beautiful, but I would prefer they were free. © 2007 Charles Dobbs Photography. All photographs and artworks in this portfolio are copyrighted and owned by the artist, Charles Dobbs. • Endli-Knot
    by Rebecca Postanowicz

    US$3.99–US$91.20

This is an original Celtic knot that I created from a modified trinity knot. Done in Prismacolor colored pencils. The type of fish which makes up the three rings is known as the saddled bichir, (Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri), is one of my all-time favorite fish. Some people think they look like snakes, but I think they look like miniature dragons, especially with all their dorsal fins, which look like spikes. Play on words of “endless knot”.

  • Ttv: Reaching In
    by Peggy Sue Harrington

    US$6.82–US$155.80

Not that starfish are fast movers, but taking a Ttv photo sometimes can prove sluggish for me. I didn’t notice the other starfish’s arm reaching into the photo until I uploaded this onto my computer. I absolutely love it more now than the image I thought I had initially captured. I believe all living things have hearts that beat with emotions. Dana Point, CA / Ttv Photograph / Canon 40D / 100 mm Macro Lens / Kodak Duaflex III / Crop/Brighten only
