I took this shot on Bell Island, if you look closely at the base of the cliff you can see a natural tunnel that has been bored through the rock by the water and out to the other side. The bravest and most daring of kayakers venture into these tunnels to explore. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / /

After many PS post edited steps this fantasy creation came into being. The watery feel is quite apparent. / /
My mother has this lovely spirit about her which I have always admired. As children we grew up with my grandfather’s video camera pointed at us and my mother’s point and shoot. At this Christmas just passed, I was taking family photos and became very aware that all the grandchildren were happy to have their photo taken and even went out of their way to pose and give me their attention for a moment. You could see them ‘sense’ when a candid was coming and stop chewing their food. I found it entertaining. But I’m on a tangent! I spent a weekend in McCrae taking photos, eating nice things and going for drives and bike rides. On the last day we headed up one of the local piers and there were quite a few tourists taking advantage of the long weekend. Watching others having their holiday portraits taken I was reminded of how my mother would aim her camera at us and in an attempt to make us smile, yell out in her lovely sing song way “Say Holidays” Thanks to my collab partner James

I ventured up to Leura Cascades in the Blue Mountains today to try my hand at some waterfall photography.. This was one of the results, I hope you like it!! I used a circular polarizer to darken the scene and allow longer shutter speeds to capture the water flow better.. / Thanks very much for looking, comments and critiquing are most welcome.. Original acrylic painting on canvas 24” x 30” / I have always loved photography, but it was a means to an end. I wanted ideas for painting. This painting really came from a deep instinct. It was the first time that I just let it happen as I went along. The color seemed to take shape in the back ground and soon I notice that it looked like spirits. Were they guiding me? I think they were. This is an / /
Image captured outdoors in full sunlight using 1 studio strobe and 1 gold reflector. Makeup done by me – heavy black eyeliner pencil, mascara, dark blue eyeshadow, covered face and eyebrows with concealer and powder. Wardrobe: strapless skin-colored slip. Used thick consistency eye drops to get make-up to run and create tears.

Black Ink, Graphite, Coloured Pencil & Pastel on A5 110 gsm cartridge This began as a sketch on the Palm Beach ferry… on a near perfect sunny day. It follows on from Girl & The Sea, continuing to explore my love of the ocean & the peace & serenity it brings. The title, Caught A Light Breeze, comes from one of my favourite songs ever… music soothes the soul, just as much the ocean sometimes.
