This is Thornseat Lodge, a derelict house in Derbyshire, originally a Gamekeepers house, then in 1934 was turned into an orphange and was stopped being used in the late 80’s, now it is just falling apart, such a waste

Landing in Naples I was confronted by this vision of a blend of classical hillside with majestic buildings on top and the contrast of high density apartments and buildings, which are made up of little graphic squares upon graphic squares and plain concrete with minimal window frames. This just caught my eye – and I was fascinated with this mixture of styles just sitting there in the one place!

This has been floating around my room for absolutely ages now, but ive only just had the time to actually sit down and finish it. It was half coloured in, but because it had been like that for ages it just didnt seem right to colour the rest, so i got out a brush and streaked it with water. I HOPE THAT THIS GROUP OF WORK HAS AN AFFECT ON ANYONE THAT HAS LOST ANYONE LOVED. ON OCTOBER 4, MY BROTHER DAVID ALAN, WAS FOUND DEAD IN HIS APARTMENT. DAVID WAS 45 YEARS YOUNG, AND HAD FOUGHT AIDS FOR 19 YEARS. DAVID WAS BEAUTIFUL, BRILLIANT, ACADEMIC AND MOST OF ALL SO VERY HUMAN. DAVID WAS GAY. WHY DOES THIS EVEN NEED TO BE MENTIONED. MY PHOTOGRAPHS AND WORDS, I CAN ONLY HOPE WILL TRY TO EXPLAIN. IT IS 2007, I BELIEVE, ISN’T IT. KNOW THIS MY BROTHER WAS LOVED, AND ALWAYS WILL BE. DAVID WAS GAY. An old abandoned Farm house in Yorkshire, a place called Crow edge, not much left now, The person i went with today told me she used to play in here when she was a child, it was empty then!! such a shame, this really was a beautiful house, more pics to follow soon of the outside.

Another shot of the poor MG and the house this time, i couldnt get any better shot than this due to the lens not fitting between the gaps in the fencing. / To add insult to injury, the poor guy told me that he had just washed and waxed the car and filled it up with fuel the night before!!

Taken on a ship as it left Sydney Harbour; this is just to the right of the Harbour Bridge as you leave. This photo was taken on a rather glum day, but the Sun appeared just as we were leaving, giving pretty much everything an orange tint.

Another shot in this lovely abandoned house. I’m slowing getting them posted. Eventually I’ll get the image of the outside of it up…maybe :) I have a few, just have to finish editing and decide what ones make the cut, or at least get to test the waters. I was having trouble naming this one. As I was staring at the drywall patchwork that was started, I was thinking about how once upon a time someone started renovating the house, but didn’t finish. Makes me wonder why? So…even though there was no storybook ending to this house (at least not yet) I’m imagine it had a storybook beginning.
