There’s no jobs , nothing to do, so why not enjoy some of the simple pleasures in life. The govenment say they will shorten the dole queues….. I can only imagine they are going to get people to stand closer together.
I know it’s sad but it’s probably for the best…
It was never a secret, it was just forgotten.

I’m not sure where I was going with this. I found some bananas and cool retro scales when I was raiding Larry’s kitchen looking for lollies and decided to use them in a photo. Actually, I may have been finding a reason to shoot Lauralie’s gorgeous shoes. I’m not usually a fan of studio shooting, but I must say I enjoyed how few photos I took versus how many shots I was happy with. So something about it agreed with me.

BEST VIEWED FULL SIZE! A big, big thanks to Rosalie Dale IPA for her fabulous and interesting tutorial on the “Vintage” process which I’ve been playing around with ever since I read it yesterday!!! I fell in love with her extraordinary “Vintage Effect” rose, and haven’t been able to focus on anything else!! I encourage anyone interested to hop on over to visit her Journal Entries and give it a look-see!!! This image was taken in natural morning sunlight April 25, 2008 with the Nikon D40x, using the 55-200mm VR lens and the hated-tripod. Settings were shutter 1/800, aperture f 7.1, exposure bias -.67, and iso 400.
/ I know it’s been done before (but then so have flowers in drops ;) ) but I just had to :)
Yesterday I reported the swarming of thousands of these beautiful creatures in the Mount Burr Forest in the South East of the State. This lot were clustered around the nut on a bolt holding the side plate onto a powerpole. Interestingly I went back today and nearly all of the tens of thousands had disappeared back to wherever they came from. What a magical twenty four hours this was. Thanks to Biggzie (see his site for some great images) I can now tell you that they are the: Common Spotted Ladybird / Harmonia conformis Canon 400D 18 – 55 lens with speedlight.

I was in Florence,Oregon at their Saturday market and notice a luthier stand. I’ve never seen violins on display like this before. They are such gorgeous instruments to photograph. I almost bought one just for the pleasure of being able to photograph it.
