This cameo was in a dark corner, but I couldn’t bypass it! Have fiddled in PS and blended a second photo of pebbles to add to the aged look. FEATURED in For the love of Jesus Group June 2009 Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM
I don’t know why I have winter on the mind, but it was enough that it made me want to make a winter picture. If anyone has any suggestions for a title, that would be great, because I’m having a blank. Best Viewed Large Another in the Juniata Crossing Mercantile Series … off of Route 30 just a bit north-west of Breezewood, PA. This time a closer view of the porch swing. I loved the colors in the wonderful hand-made afghan!! So cozy!! Image taken with the Nikon D40x and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Post processing included hdr (single image, hand held, +-2 eval) in Photomatix Pro, Orton, and a trip to Corel Painter for hand painting of the leaves to the right, most of which had been blown out by the sun, then back to Photoshop for a few more pansies just for the fun of it!!! my apologies to those of you who stopped by and commented on a slightly different version … oops!!! I guess I forgot to hit the “hide” button!!! sorry!!!
Captured on an Indian Reservation in New Mexico, I have always loved 49-51 Ford Coupe’s…rare, they make one of the best Kustoms ever…and if I coulda found the owner and had a tow truck, I would have towed this all the way back home to Colorado with me! What a scene…...processed in HDR…thoughts welcomed!
A severe crop because of extenuating circumstances (I couldn’t move the bike and the front wheel was over a dark shutter!) but I feel it has some appeal. Given a poster treatment. Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM

I suppose you can say I have always been a sucker for old cars, especially Hotrods. There is something about the design and style of the years gone by, that todays designers in the automotive world have lost…the subtle curves of the body line, the way the trim fits along the body, and the overall composition and style….rolling sculpture. Elegance and style which is no longer created by the manufacturers but now recreated by those who spend many a late night out in the garage building a Kustom, wielding the torch, throwing the lead, and hammering the seams. Art it one of it’s most purest forms. Creativity personified. This is quite an older shot but remains one of my favorites, the color in this and the reflection caught my eye when I first captured it. I am not a huge fan of tri-year Chevy’s, but this ‘56 was just to good to pass up.
