  • First of all, big kudos go to fellow bubbler Kevin Kroeker, who gave me a great idea of some add’l post processing steps which I had not tried before, until this image. HDR Image of an antique shiny black car with tons of chrome. I don’t know why, but I absolutely love this image. Hope you do as well. My art with 1000+ views

  • I think this is an Austin a40 coupe. Beautifully restored. Needed to be photographed…

  • Old bushel basket with summer daisies.

  • Echinacea purpurea (purple coneflower) with a dark twist. This was the first of my Dark Dreams flower series, most of which I have pulled from redbubble. It was also one of my first images here. Obviously it was photoshoped. I get a lot of questions about why there are scratches on it, it was to give it an old aged look. The texture would make it a great canidate for a canvas print… hint hint ;) This is the original: / I believe this is the largest image in my portfolio, and that is because it was taken with my old 35 mm SLR, then scanned in (I have a really good scanner that scans really big) If you are seeing this image in a group for the first time, that is because I just realized it wasn’t in any groups! I must have cleared it out to make room for newer stuff. This peice was my very first one chosen on the Featured Art page and was featured in Ebony and Ivory group. Thank you! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / This piece can be found in my Flora Calendar. / For more products featuring this image, visit Karri’s Zazzle Store

  • I don’t know why I have winter on the mind, but it was enough that it made me want to make a winter picture. If anyone has any suggestions for a title, that would be great, because I’m having a blank. Stock Credits / Model- faestock on DA / Background & Textures are mine :) For more products featuring this image visit Karri’s Store /

  • An old boat sitting safely on the shore at Queenscliff in Victoria, Australia. Kept finding myself going back to this boat to take photos, looked so sad sitting by itself. Black and White conversion in Lightroom, HDR in Photomatix.

  • Typewriter Keys…remember these? Remember how we used to struggle to type our words? And God forbid you made a mistake…no simple backspace or delete button… /

  • During my travels in six states in the past week, I finally landed in Durbin West Virginia, where I stayed with a friend of mine. This old coal steam engine depot is in her little historical town of Durbin. We finally got a chance to ride this train that soon will be reaching it’s centinial (100th) birthday in 2010. This engine is called The Durbin Rocket One of three coal steam engines actually running in the world. When we came to a short stop, I took advantage of shooting this (and yes, have quite a few shots while riding it) Something about the elderly gentleman looking at this engine remembering when he was a boy and rode trains like this enticed me to shoot it in black and white. This has not be converted, I changed settings on camera to shoot in BW, I will be adding more photos of my travels after I return from Texas this weekend. This was shot in SS priority, F-stop of 8.0, Exposure at 1/125, ISO of 400, Exposure Compensation at 0 / Best if viewed larger.

Time heals all wounds. Time flies when you’re having fun. Time stands still. Time waits for no one. If I could turn back the hands of Time. Frozen in Time. Timeless…. you get the idea. Well, I wanted to create a series that perhaps captured the essence of these things, in relation to human emotion. And so my Time series was born. I know in my heart what each of them means, but I did not name them anything specific, so that the viewer could make up their own mind as to the meaning of each piece. I think that is something unique to every individual. So…my heartfelt thanks for continuing to watch and support my artistic endeavors. It feeds the fire that burns and inspires. / Aimee

  • Original Creation Date: May 5th, 2006 Meaning ‘antiquity’, I wanted this portrait to portray a sense of timelessness, yet also capture a somewhat haunting quality that I always find myself associating with the mid 1600’s. • This is my first photomanipulation I have done in years. I figured I would go with something simple. Brushes: hair, wings, flowers, photo texture. (my own private collection) Woman I was inspired a bit by the Cottington Fairies. I may explore that bit more in my manip’s if I decide to do more. Featured in: / Faerie World: April 2009

  • Featured In: / -Happy Haven-Photography / -Nostalgic Art And Photography When I was very young I developed a love for all things antique. At Christmas, when I was fourteen, my parents gave me this jug and wash basin for a gift and I was absolutely thrilled about it. I set this up on the floor by a window where the light was flooding in through lace curtains which filtered the light in a rather dappled way. By North American standards I live in a very old house and if you look closely you can see the tiny nails in the hardwood floor which was the way it was installed so long ago. There are thousands of those tiny nails in little rows in the floors here….it makes my knees sore just thinking about the fellow who had to hammer them all! :-) HollyCawfieldPhotography
