  • / This is a still life from my Nostalgia series / It’s created with the “painted with light” technique and digitally enhanced. Here is a tutorial on my work flow. Well, I hope you like my entry into this wonderful community which I discovered by happenstance. Cheers. Update: I’ve been around for a while now, so don’t forget to check out the rest of my Nostalgia series like more work / the calendar /

  • Friday August 3rd It happened again tonight. The old fool had left the door unlocked; and there, above the cages, some apparently empty and some housing pink-eyed rodents; stood the vessel containing the precious green liquid and marked with the words: “NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION” once more, at my disposal. Thanks to yesterday’s acquisition of a rather splendid pocketwatch, I have been able to establish that administration of about 2floz of the serum is sufficient to remain effective for approximately two hours. I have thus resolved that, weather permitting, tomorrow’s edification will begin with the short trip into town whereupon I will partake in what will no doubt be another fruitful bout of “shopping”, after which with any luck, there will be ample time for a spot of inexpensive dining followed by a close inspection of the ample figures belonging to those delightful ladies up there at Pedlar’s Lane bathhouse, whom I understand, usually prefer to keep themselves hidden away from prying eyes. Dash it… Awfully sorry ladies!

  • / Isn’t another bad day (yet again) on the stock markets the perfect time to show you my latest still life in the “nostalgia” series, entitled: the stock market. / As usual, old and new elements are mingled together. The painted with light technique was used again, as well as digital manipulation to get the end result I was after. / It’s strange, I spent months planning this shot, preparing and getting the props and then in a few hours time it’s shot. It’s almost an anti-climax. / Well, I hope you enjoy it! / By the way, this is the fourth installment in this series, I’m withholding the second one which I consider my masterpiece in this series. I’ll probably upload it in a few days. / °°° / A wallpaper based on this photo can be found here more work / the calendar /

  • / sold as a mounted print to a mystery buyer This is my second instalment in the “nostalgia” series, the one I’ve been / withholding from you. Because of it’s very special mood I consider this to be my masterpiece in this series and in general, to date that is. Same general concept and techniques as in the other images from this series with the most important being the painted with light technique more work / the calendar /

  • This image was printed using liquid light. / This is a silver-based sensitizer for applying on any surface, exposing by an enlarger, and processing in conventional chemistry. It is virtually the same emulsion found on ordinary photographic paper, but in a liquid form and can allow the emulsion to be coated on a wide range of surfaces. / Here I have applied the liquid light using a brush to scrap metal and once it was dried exposed it with the enlarger. It was then developed, fixed and washed similar to any photographic paper. / The final piece of scrap metal was then stuck onto painted pine to be displayed. / The image you see before you is then a digital photograph of the displayed piece. Some more images created using liquid light

  • This is an image created to illustrate an environmental portrait of an old camera called a “speed graphic”... the whole scene is meant to tell a story of a time when this camera was in use. I hope you enjoy this marvelous piece of photographic history. Here are some beautifully fitting words by Wayne Cook It’s setting atop my desk, / Bit dusty, but the bellows are still pliable, / Haven’t shot anything in it, / More than 20 years, / Maybe 30…. / Oh, but the negs…. / Glorious things, / Like still nuggets in reverse / I’d shine that enlarger through one…. / Whew…. those celluloids, / Never lost my awe, / The figures almost came to life, / There on the table. / Something about that lifeless frame, / I swear it moves when I turn my back. / Breaks my heart to leave it lay, / But the film…oh, god, it breaks the bank!

  • Full view please :) The amazing Stacey Yount has again surprised me with a beautiful poem to accompany this image. I Always Have You Near Me is the second collaboration for Stacey and myself. Stacey is an amazing poet and a lovely person as well. Here is I Always Have You Near Me: I always have you near me / Even if you are far away Your love is carried to me / On the whisper of butterfly wings / Even when you are far away A zephyr sings it through the trees / And brings me joy / Even as I wait for you to return from far away Every exquisite blossom I see / Reminds me of the magnificent shades of our love / Even though you may be far away You are in my mind / A part of my soul / and are my heart See, I always feel you near me / Even if you are far away ..::Stock Photo Credit::.. / Female model / Male model / Background (trying to locate stock) / Butterflies If you like this, please check out: / / /

  • “Think of me / think of me fondly, / when we’ve said goodbye. / Remember me / once in a while - / please promise me / you’ll try….” – Phantom of the Opera The full series: / (More coming soon!)

  • / I wouldn’t like to feed the photographers for which this photo is the plain and simple truth. Another instalment in my Nostalgia series although a little different then usual in the set-up. It’s a lot simpler a composition then most of my work, but let me assure you, it was so much harder to get right! Shot with my relatively new Pentax K10D and a very old Pentax-A 1:1.7 50mm objective. You can read all about the technique used in this tutorial more work / the calendar / preview / “Forgotten” was sold as a Medium mounted print to an anonymous buyer. Thank you! “Forgotten” is also freely downloadable as a wallpaper to decorate your desktop.
